Every time after the Super Bowl....

I think our new owner will turn up the heat.  Whether or not he can create a winning environment is yet to be realized for sure but I think some things will shake up soon.  It will be a long ride from here but I think we will get back there within a decade.  Hard to believe after watching last year, specifically getting absolutely trucked by the eventual SB loser from last night.  We are a long way away.  We have a ton of question marks.  We have some real soul-searching to do.  I am not sure the team even has an identity at all right now.  We are little more than a collection of well paid employees at their first real job trying to find out where the restrooms are.  Think of this roster walking around inside BofA without the likes now of a Thomas Davis or of a Luke Kuechly, or Olsen in the locker room.  No QB.  A stud RB with no line.  No confidence on D.  Yeah, its pretty bad.  We will find out what Tepper is all about over the next couple seasons IMO.

Sometimes I wonder what it's like to be, let's say, a 21 year old Boston sports fan.  The Celtics, Bruins, Red Sox, and God knows the Patriots have all won at least one world title in your lifetime.  Your favorite NFL team has the greatest quarterback, greatest head coach (yeah Belichick is the greatest coach in NFL history and they should append his name to the Lombardi Trophy, get mad), and greatest dynasty in league history.

Meanwhile, in the Old North State...

No one in the country will feel bad for them because what goes up has to come down at some point.

You're referring to the owner that thinks Marty Hurney is a good GM?

That is what he has shown for now.  I agree the Hurney situation is likely a good barometer though.  What he does there may signal what kind of appetite he has for disruption.  But, the HC hire has already signaled it for me a little.  I think Tepper likely has little if any fear of change and believes a little disruption is a healthy aspect of existence anywhere continuous growth is paramount.  I realize there is not much insight there and my take is certainly biased as I think major change is absolutely necessary, but I think he will capitalize on the "rebuild" opportunity over the next 24 months.

I do think we have two bad seasons ahead (..sorry Christian ).  A total of 10 wins over the next 32 contests is what I have mentally adjusted for.

Ron couldnt coach my 5yr old. IMr i would have taken that shot too. I will never forget that statement. How you going to claim you mad about Cam getting cheap shots not called, but would have taken that shot too. Ron was in over his head Olsen and Cam knew it. Shula was the scapecoat but all along the loss of the SB was squarely on a DC pretening to be a coach.
