Every time after the Super Bowl....

Chiefs didn’t become consistent winners till 2013 and it took that long for them to win a title. A lot goes into a season but the biggest thing was getting them a coach that can be consistent.

Also people saying we are in tank mode and won’t do anything for a while... a FIRST YEAR REID took a 2-14 team to the playoffs so you never know where it might end up.

Its a process you have to trust it.

It’s scary how little people pay attention. Alex Smith had the Chiefs in the playoffs for years. They averaged 10-6 for the four years before Mahomes started. I saw one post about how the Chiefs surrounded Mahomes with talent. They drafted Fisher the LT and Kelce when Mahomes was in high school, LOL. Same with the 49ers. Yes, they won four games in 2018, but that was mainly because Jimmy (who’s not great) was on IR all year. They have 4 first round DL. That means it took them at least 4 drafts just to get the DL, not including the ones they didn’t take a DL. They didn’t go from little talent to great in one year. They built the team over years and then got a new coach and a few final picks OL, Bosa and others and became a top team.

As a fan all you can do is trust the process. We don't make personnel decisions, draft players or negotiate contracts. Although a lot of folks act like they do.

At least with Tepper and Rhule we know that there is actually a process in place. I feel like the past few seasons, we've just been chasing the ghosts of 2015 and not really building towards anything.

I can honestly say that for me, it didn't even take a Super Bowl.

For the past couple of seasons, several times while watching non-Panther games, I've found myself asking the question "Why aren't we as good as these teams?" There were objective, concrete answers to that question but I wasn't really looking for them. It was more just a frustrated rhetorical than anything else.

As far as the future, Rivera being gone helps (Hurney being gone would help even more). In his place we've got a coach with very little NFL experience and a staff that doesn't boast much more, but at least there's hope.

If nothing else, perhaps it's a positive to say that we go into next year knowing that if we're making mistakes, at least they'll be new ones. I was really tired of seeing the old ones over and over again, and I doubt I'm the only one to say that.

I have done this with the Seahawks for some time now.

What exactly makes them consistent, and us so inconsistent?  Now that Cam is a shell of himself it's easy to point to Russ, but before?  I really have no idea.

It's one of the more frustrating parts of being a Panthers fan, the roller coasters this team loves to ride are terrible for my health.

What makes the Seahawks consistent? Russell Wilson.

John Schneider and Pete Carroll vs Marty Hurney and Ron Rivera...

Pete reminds me so much of Ron though, love to run the ball, love to play hard D, fairly simple schemes, etc...

Maybe he is just that much better of an in game coach than Ron.

The Lions have never been to a Super Bowl and never will.  But at least that's better than being a Brown's fan.  Holy cow.  Imagine wondering if your team will ever get to the big game, then watching the team leave the city and win a Super Bowl a few years after relocating.
