Offense Wins Championships

Welcome to all you old “trenches” guys. It’s a new game and while Bosa destroyed Fisher all night it didn’t matter.

Had we properly addressed the WR position in 15, Miller destroying Remmers all night wouldn’t have mattered either.

Congrats to KC for understanding that if you surround your young playmaking QB with weapons good things happen.

We’re obviously rebuilding but if we had the right people in charge this wouldn’t be too hard to fix. We just signed Brady, we have CMC and Moore. Sign Conklin and draft Jeudy and all of a sudden we have a legit offense. That’s if Cam is playing for us next season of course.

Oh well, maybe next time we luck out with a generational type talent at QB they’ll go about it the right way...

Some of the play designs in that game...

Just... brilliant and stunning.

Beats the hell out of run-run-screen or run-run-bomb.

I think you can win multiple ways. Teams have won in different ways. You need a good mix of solid trenches both oline and dline and skill players. But nobody should ever doubt you need a bonfide franchise qb to win the Super Bowl. That’s been proven time and time again.

More than one way to skin a cat

Wilson

Peyton

Brady

all won superbowls with very minimal contributions. Look at Big Bens stats in Super Bowl XL

You need both. If the Chiefs defense doesn't start stepping up then the 49ers pull away from that game. They hung in there early with them despite Mahomes playing poorly. Why? Defense. Then the offense started to roll but they still had to make defensive stops. Why did the Chiefs win eventually? They stopped the 49ers from running all over them and made them throw more.

At the end of the day, the Chiefs did what they had to do when they had to do it.

There is an old NFL films piece on a Super Bowl, I think it was one that the Raiders won.  The narrator, John Facenda, ended it with "great teams aren't always great.  There just great when they have to be."

Tonight, Mahomes and the Chiefs DL stepped it up when it counted most.  I think their DL made more plays during the last ten minutes than they did the rest of the game.

Don't tell Kyle Shanahan that. He thought letting Matt Ryan and Jimmy G playing the hero role down the streetch eas a Lombardi winning formula.

Better QB play 49ers win, and also run the ball with the lead on 2nd downs to run time late in the 4thQ. 49ers stopped themselves. Also Jimmy g dont close your eyes and throw up footballs for grabs.... Wonnder if he gets killed in the media like Cam for his SB f up moments..

You do realize that the Chiefs Defense shut down the 49ers when it mattered.
