Offense Wins Championships

The Niners were their own worst enemy. Loads of talent and they were pretty dominant in the first half but they got full of themselves too early with that interception celebration in the end zone. When I saw that the first thing that popped into my head was the Chiefs playoff game against the Texans.

But what Andy Reid has done with the Chiefs offense and even Matt Moore without Mahomes shows what true innovation can bring to your team.

49ers blew the game more than the Chiefs won it.

Only last year the Super Bowl was 13-3.

Granted the league is certainly more offensive focused, for better or worse, but that doesn't negate the need for balance.

Complete teams with few glaring weaknesses are most often the best teams.

If Shanny went into that game thinking that 20 would win it, it was lost before the kickoff....although they almost pulled it off.

He just lost his mind, on the biggest stage.....again.

I think you can win multiple ways. Teams have won in different ways. You need a good mix of solid trenches both oline and dline and skill players. But nobody should ever doubt you need a bonfide franchise qb to win the Super Bowl. That’s been proven time and time again.

In no way am I implying that this is the only way obviously. It was just nice to see a Chiefs team built in a way that so many on this board have sh!t all over for so long prove that it can be done. 

When you have a special kind of talent at QB I believe this is the route you should take. Imagine Cam with legit WR’s in 15... he would’ve set all kinds of records

Imagine cam with Andy Reid mentoring him from the beginning. Nobody can convince me that we would not have won superbowls. Yes multiple. People often forget Mahomes had a year to sit and learn and was raw as hell coming out of college.

Reid is another level not just as an offensive mind but in quarterback coaching capacity.

Ron Rivera honestly couldn't have been further out of his depth in terms of successfully delevoping a quarterback. Remember, he would've "taken the hit too". I still can't believe he said that poo.

The real key to Superbowls is having a QB on his rookie deal or one willing to take a massive discount. How much talent will the Chiefs lose when they give Mahomes 40 mil per.
