OT Thomas was gone so for me this was easy.  Brown may not be an elite NFL lineman, but he'll be dadgum close.  He's a much safer pick than Thomas.  

I wouldn't mind trading back a little in the 2nd...I had to reach down a little bit to find the next OL, but I thought it was the best choice.  Brooks was the top player available in the 3rd and it's also a need.

Collin in the 4th was about the 4th highest remaining player, with one WR ranked above him, but I love his height.  Sportstalkline had a 1st rd grade on him.  Now we have 3 good receivers.

Coe is a 290 lb DE and we need one badly.  They're not easy to find and not cheap when you do.

We need safety depth (I think we'll sign Boston) and special teams and Reed was the 3rd best player available, no brainer.

How many 7th rounders make teams?  It's an incredibly deep WR draft, some say the best ever, so take one and hope he can be good depth.

If we dont take Brown in the first I want Rawkwon davis in the 2nd. Justin Madu looks good too if his off field issues aren't bad. Then a C in the 3rd even if we got to trade up to get one of the 3 great ones.

I'm really hoping with guys helping marty with other gm duties and the influence of a new coaching staff and culture, Marty will be able to concentrate on the draft 100% and replicate his first round success. Maybe just Rhule will be enough to help him.

The thing I don't like about the simulated mocks is you have to assume their rankings are pretty good.  I many instances they are not, especially deeper in the simulations.

No doubt. Plenty is going to change between now and the mocks (combine, FA, etc.). This is just a fun exercise. Be interesting to see if anyone got anywhere near close in their picks.
