Teams, when we are trying to trade Newton, would be like, alright, he passed a physical .. he is healthy now but he was healthy before 2019 pre-season, too, and then got injured again - so how long will he be healthy? We'll give you a third rounder ..

And in that scenario, we will rightly say, we'll just keep him for 20 million (far below market value) and see if he can stay healthy for us.

Just 2 weeks ago, you mention a trade and people turned inside out.  But now, they are all discussing like it could happen.

But you are correct, the juice might not be worth the squeeze, and we keep Newton.  It is all for discussion.  For all you guys know, Cam might be in on the trade.  Knowing that the Chargers might be a desired location for him and his family and future, Cam and the team might be upping his trade value AND his signing value.  You never know these things.

Cam would make a ton outside football in NY or LA, he has the marketing thing going and would have a very big future after he is retired.

Anyway, guess it just takes a few days for it to sink in, 2 weeks in fact.

Cam is unique---but I have never heard that "Can't read a defense" is a racist slur.  Seriously?  I detest racism--I loathe it---and I am called a racist for criticizing Cam.  Cam is flawed.  Cam is not a perfect QB and has never been what I consider elite--he has been good, awfully entertaining, and courageous.  He has been the face of the franchise--something this team never had before---and he represented.  Does that mean he can read a defense?

I am white, and I can tell you that racism in this country is not dead--the current divisiveness in this nation is very disturbing because it trickles down to race (fear, hate).  I admire blacks for tolerating the rednecks, the closet haters, the white elitists for so many years with peace and dignity in most cases.  The skinheads do not represent me in any way--I hate them.  They whisper slurs to me as if my skin color equates to philosophical agreement.  I call them bigots--white trash--and tell them that the 60s are over--the 1860s.  They should have paid more attention in the 1960s.  In my opinion and experience, blacks do not want to "take over" and they do not want a handout.  They simply want to coexist as equals.  How wonderfully diplomatic that is after all they have endured--and still put up with. It does them no favors when someone falsely accuses people of racist comments when they really do not know.  I understand the frustration when it is real and stand against all whites who do or are complicit to it.  Just understand that most of the whites I know are not haters. They think color is a non-factor--until someone makes it an issue.

this is a big part of the issue.  well it doesn't affect me so its not an issue.      when white babies are getting separated from their parents and lost and sold into god knows what horrors - it'll suddenly be an issue worth facing.     

that said cam can read defenses and i still hope we can move on.  and anyone using facebook is an idiot
