If Cam is truly healthy and we think there's a good chance of him remaining that way, we'd be crazy to trade him. You can't get sufficient trade value to rationalize parting ways with a 30 year old elite QB talent.

Tom Brady would be Kyle Allen on our team next year.  So if you are in a full rebuild, and need a ton of things before you competitive, what is the quickest way to get there?  By keeping a 30 yr old QB and losing with him for one more season?  Then he walks away for nothing.  You are still not competitive and you now have nothing to show for it.

Team game.  Trade Cam, get a haul of picks and then don't cringe because Cam is getting killed every play on offense next season.

An offseason roster never is, no shock there, but, we need a lot of guys and an extra 2 picks or so for Cam will make us a much better team in 3 years when he is probably somewhere else

Add two starting caliber OL and Cam Newton and we can have an elite offense with Joe Brady at the helm. We had the 23rd ranked defense this year. KC is in the Super Bowl with the 17th.

League wise you have a 50% chance of your first round pick working out.  Less for a second round.

Odds are, Cam for a measly 2 extra picks would hopefully get us 1 starter.  Trading a top 50% QB, statistically, will not make us better.  Unless we defy the nationwide odds and strike gold on both picks.

Cam for two 2nds (which is what his reported trade value would likely be) is practically giving him away for free if Hurndog is making those 2nd round picks.
