Our D actually has some building blocks, and good players on paper. Maybe a better coaching staff can get much more out of them. Luke is a big loss for sure but maybe can be made up for with the 7th overall pick...

Zach said all along that Newton would stay if one side or the other backed down. Then a week ago said "looks like one side is backing down" and here we are.

Mind you, he also knew who last year's draft targets were before they were made, so the notion that his sources were pre-Tepper is inaccurate.

They can’t do that with the injury uncertainty still hanging over a possible extension, but they should and can come out and say he will be our starter this year. Wouldn’t even keep us from drafting a QB if say Tua fell to us and Rhule and Brady love him...

It's all individual situations.

Olsen had a contract that was too big for his performance level.

Luke decided to retire for health reasons.

Yep. Everything is still fluid. Just like Rhule was staying at Baylor right up till he wasn't.
