I said that how Cam goes tells us if they want to be competitive or if it is a total rebuild..I think all of us PSL owners may have revolted if they had gotten rid of Cam as well.

Which makes sense. They likely want to wait and see if Cam is healthy before investing in the 2020 team. If Cam isn't healthy, it makes no sense to sign them if they are in full rebuild.

This decision makes the most sense for Cam and the Panthers.

Cam gets to showcase his talents post recovery and sets himself up for a new contract.

Panthers retain the face of the franchise, team leader and the player that gives them the best chance of winning in 2020.

This was the best of all possible outcomes.
