I'm going to have to risk hurting some precious feefees here and say I am unequivocally sick of reading the same regurgitated takes from self described "realists" that want to move on from a franchise QB at all costs but have no problem with the idea of paying a running back to be the face of the franchise because he happens to be white. All this in the midst of a rebuild.

We need a quarterback.

Are you including me in that group of people wanting to move on from a franchise QB at all costs?

And yet I bet you and others in here will post a thread every week of September, October, November and December about how terrible this franchise is as we go 1-15

No I am realistic with expectations.  Like I was with Will Grier.  Too bad you weren’t

Not sure we go 2-14 or 1-15 yet (I wish, I'm a big contender or bust advocate) But Cam leaving inevitably will leave 21 million in cap space. We draft LT at #7 and spend the other 20 million saved on Cam on a offensive line boost, this team very well might win 7-8 games. We can't field a decent offensive line while paying Cam 13 million under market, what makes you think It's going to happen if he's making market?

I said it before and I'll say it again, Kyle Allen with a offensive line that gives 5-6 seconds to throw the ball is better then Cam Newton with 2-4. If Cam was 500k like KA, then by all means he's better, but Ron is not the one who didn't fix the offensive line, he schemed the best he could to make up for it. Sure glad we have Vernon Butler though!

If we're going to do this right, we need to trade CMC, Bengals might listen to trade involving Cam and CMC, but you never know.

who the fug you signing for 20 million that'll make a difference? you play the cards that we've been dealt, keep cam for one more damn season, bulk up the line which will inevitably all be bad decisions b/c Hurney is here and can only nail one first rounder every five years, and we either finish 7-9 further fuging us, or we go 0-16 and get Lawrence. Maybe Cam goes off stays healthy, he has weapons, but this defense couldn't compete in the Big Ten.

CMC is now the face of the franchise after a decade of Cam Newton holding down the job.

I am happy if we are growing and developing.  Here is what people forget.  Rhule has a huge coaching staff and they are going to be teachers/developers.  RR liked vets because they are easy to coach and don't make mistakes. He did not develop rookies.  Take Burns for example.  Irvin got more snaps.  A journeyman--one year contract---took reps from Burns.

So many of you are ready to move on from Little.  He was always a bit of a project.  2 concussions ruined his season.  Trash--hot garbage!! some said.  Madden Warriors.

We've had discussions about the position. Remember all the Grier hype last year? I know how you feel about Cam. Nobody said you are a Cam hater.

So what's your solution? Draft a QB in 2021?

That's cute. Your expectations of your girl Kyle Allen sure weren't realistic.

The conditions here were optimal to be developing rookies.  No left side of OL, no defensive tackles---bad defensive philosophy---Playing from behind against top defenses.  They had no chance.

You are what your record says. We were the worst team in the league to end the season.

Definitely more in favor of that than drafting one this year. If we pick one this year, he'll just be our Jimmy Clausen and will be a one-year player. We need to build up the offensive line, the defensive backfield, the defensive line.

Will still be fun watching CMC, Moore, and other young guys unless our best players have "mysterious" injuries that sideline them for awhile.

But honestly I'd rather watch an exciting losing team with a rebuilding direction and new hope, than the once decent team who blows leads, play with their tails tucked between their legs, and continue to be the neutered versions of the Panthers we watched under Rivera the last few years.

Preach, brutha

An oline that blocks for 6 seconds? That sounds extremely rare

I think what we want is a qb who can get it out quick and a gameplan supporting that and utilizing the QBs strengths

if cam is gone only reason I want to see Allen back there is to tank. And I’d keep cmc but use him lightly.
