This has absolutely no bearing on cam stop that nonsense. 20 million for a year on the line nobody is gonna say no to that cause greg who hasn't been the same for a while is gone.

I love everything about Greg Olsen and what he has done for the organization.

That said, I am completely fine with this.  I had hoped he was going to retire last year.  Olsen was going to be a 11.5m cap hit next year.

I remember trading for Olsen on Madden 08 and taking the Panthers to the Super Bowl. I couldn't believe we were able to actually swing a real trade for him. I feel lucky to have been able to see him play all these years for the Panthers. Best of luck to him in his future endeavors.

If you paid attention to Greg's comments after Kobe's death is was pretty obvious he was thinking heavily about calling it a career on the field. Maybe he's still mulling that decision and if the right Super Bowl contender gave him a call he'd consider suiting back up, but I honestly expect him to retire if that perfect ring chasing opportunity doesn't present itself and he very well may retire even if it does.
