I think he's already out of the boot.  There was an instagram picture of him in NY last week, no boot, plus that video with the flowers and his mom that was just posted (although who knows when that was filmed).

Cam will want an extension or ask for a trade .  It will probably be 30m for 3 years .  Does Tepper want to pay that much on an over 30yr QB or start fresh with a new younger cheaper QB .  Much depends on Cam's health and how Rhule sees the future .

The answer to this is start fresh. Now if it was 5 years ago the answer would be different.

I have never understood why Cam waits so long after he gets injured to have surgery.

The shoulder is likely a long-term concern, if I had to take a guess. Short term, I think he’s got some years left. Wear and tear? Thing is, most of his damage came from within the pocket or chasing down an interception. Unless guys go head hunting, which is not unprecedented, Cam is usually pretty safe in the open field.

It will be. Funny that to some people you can’t even question if we’ll ever get 2015 Cam back. They just assume it and that seems dangerous. Even 2017 was completely healthy. I remember those first few games and almost losing to Buffalo where his arm was very questionable after the post 2016 surgery. It’s been 4 years of injury seasons with not finishing 3 of 4, so it seems valid to question if Cam will be back the same especially when he looks as small as I’ve ever seen him. Posting that he’ll gain weight and muscle is a big assumption. It’s not his rookie year where he hasn’t been in an NFL program. I legitimately worry.

I think in the end they just are straight cutting him.  Something just seems amiss here.
