I get that people are impatient when they hear something like this, but it hasn't even been a week.

The original tweet was dated January 26th. He stated on the 29th that it was "close" but that David Tepper did things at his own pace.

His original statement was that it revolved around a person with whom he had some involvement. Doesn't appear to be Kuechly or Newton, and certainly not Olsen. He mentions Tepper as being related to whatever's happening (as owner, he's kind of related to everything) but clearly that's not who he's involved with either.

Whenever he thought was coming may not come to pass, or maybe it'll just take a little longer. Hard to say.

But again, it hasn't even been a week.

I think the Big News was our franchise QB telling everybody he will absolutely be a Panther going forward when everybody before that was resigned to the fact he was as good as gone.

Didn't think it at first, but feel like it may be a new CMC deal to lock him in for the next 4-5 years.  Could take a few days to iron out the details of the contract, wouldn't surprise me if they get the media team to create a video or something to announce it, and all the pomp and circumstance that goes into re-signing a guy like CMC.

My new guess, the site for the new stadium has been purchased and the plans are being drawn up as we speak.  Maybe some preliminary rendering drawings to show.
