The player nobody is talking about who could rise after the combine?

DE Espenesa

If we do not grab a QB, he could be the guy.  We don't have a 4-3 anchor end like this.

He interests me, but I'm not sold on him having the juice to be a disruptive 4-3 DE. I think he might be a rich man's Wes Horton type. Workouts will be important for him.

I realize our pressing needs are DL and OL, which would mean we select either Derrick Brown DT, Andrew Thomas OT,  Jedrick Willis OT or trade back and select Javon Kinlaw DT. However, for some reason, i keep thinking we might select Justin Herbert QB if he is available at #7 ,considering we address our other needs in free agency.

I see some are still streamlining to positions but when you have a pick this high, you need to aim at a guy who is going to lead his side of the ball.  I disagree with the hyper focus on positional need when a pick is this high.  You need impact from both an intangible and talent perspective at an elite level.

I think two guys fit it, but they happen to be a CB and WR.
