So?

Ahhh living in the south, in the Charlotte bubble. Where people believe they pay high, ridiculous taxes and get mad when the city wants bigger and better things and charges the tax payers pretty much nothing.

People in Charlotte who bitch about stuff like this are in their own bubble. They try to relate it to the rest of the world or even nation but it’s so laughable once you guys take yourself out of your bubble.

I’d give my left but to pay more taxes to have an NFL team. Charlotte is one of the nicest places to live all around for a ridiculously low cost of living anyone who says otherwise has been a Charlottian all their life and live in a bubble.

Compared to just about the rest of the nation where prices are soaring for everywhere that had less to offer than Charlotte. There is a reason it’s a top 10 creeping towards top 5 place to live becoming the Austin of the South.

Except a city like Austin aren’t as dumb, no one complains  about this stuff there lol they know they have it good and they don’t even have professional sports. Amazing.

Nice rant. I live in Boston. My issue with a new stadium is BoA is in a perfect location, still in very very good shape and is setup to play football the way it was meant to be—on grass and outdoors. Couldn’t care less about the other aspects of it. Of course new stadiums are inevitable at some point and can be very good. But odds are Tepper wants a dome with turf which sucks.

Actually this seems like fair compensation.  Letting them choose any available lower bowl seat at or above the price of their seat is more than fair.

I agree, the seats are going away regardless. I understand why they may be butthurt, but whining like a Saints fan in the playoffs isn't going to stop progress.

man talking about whine...

what is this....like 60 people out of millions? No one gives a flying fug you’ve been buying your seats for 25 years, this is forward progress get over it you’re not special and this situation exactly what you bought if you had the brains to read the paperwork you signed (which I’m guessing you didn’t)

What a pointless nasty email.

Yeah BoA will have soccer and huge events and Tepper will get a new Panthers stadium (that also hosts other events that make a ton of money) and the taxpayers will foot a large portion of the bill.

it's how the NFL has been run for years; not saying it's right or wrong, but, to quote john fox and russell buffalino, "it is what it is"

These ARE the wine and cheese seats, guys! Tepper is building them better seating options with more amenities and some of you are furious about it ruining their fan experience. LOL!

Right. You’ve got to be making some serious cash to be able to afford to sit down there every game. Hell, to have PSL’s you have to make some pretty good cash.

Anyways, i hate this is happening, but it is what it is. Cam made those seats popular, and a few of the folks in here whining want Cam gone. Cam is the only one who gave out footballs down there on a consistent basis, or made other players give them out. If he’s gone then oh well.

No. Boston

LOL, then why do you care so much about what we're paying for with our taxes? The average taxpayer won't feel any of this. IF they live near the stadium, they'll probably have higher property taxes due to their home value increasing, but that's a good problem to have for most people. The current soccer team commitments are all from hospitality revenue, so it's coming from people visiting the city. This is exactly what that money should be spent on, more things to bring more people into the city.
