And they’ll never be able to keep that roster together long term. Guys are gonna start coming off those rookie deals next year and then hard choices.

It happens to lots of the good teams. The Patriots are some miraculous exception that they seem to be able to keep winning despite not having high draft picks and recycling their roster every season

If CAM isn't healthy or traded, are you signing a rehab project [Mariotta-Winston] or a stop-gap?

I wouldn't touch Winston with a ten-foot pole. Based on blogs I've read from Titans' fans, Mariotta never had a chance for the time he got there. He'd be a good stop gap at worst or reclamation project worth taking on at the right price IMO.

Roll with Allen/Grier next year. They will do just fine leading us to a top ten pick. So which QB do we target next year? Lawrence or Fields, and who are going to be their blindside protectors.

Start with Fields... A talented right hand QB, who needs his blindside being protected by a LT.

Rd.1 pick- Andrews.. He's a Franchise LT. Has all the tools, and traits to be in the NFL for the next 10-15 years.

Next Lawrence... A gifted left hand QB, who needs his blindside being protected by a RT.

Rd.1 pick- Wills.. He played the RT at Alabama. He did great at both run blocking, and pass protection.

So Will is to RT... As Andrews is to LT.

Fields and Andrews or..

Lawrence and Hill

I like Lawrence a lot but I'm really high on Sam Howell. A local kid and natural from the games I've watched. If we were to miss out on Lawrence, I think Howell would also be a great fit in this new offense.

Waiting three more years for a QB is not advisable.

True, but you could build the rest of the roster especially the OL, DL and secondary with prime talent. And I get the feeling the offense is going to be built around Christian McCaffrey and DJ Moore rather than a franchise QB in the short term if we move on from Cam. JMO.

Something tells me they’re gonna need Jimmy G to fling a few more than 8 if they wanna win that Superb Owl thing in a couple weeks.

Idk dude you're probably right but that defense is crazy and KC likes to dig holes. They do that with the 49ers and it might be game over.

Not gonna lie, if Brady took Burrow from where he was last year to this record setting year, I’d like to see what he could do with Mariota. Especially for cheap.

This is all only if Cam cannot play or is traded of course.

Some may not agree with that but i can certainly see where that could be possible. Mariota has a lot of skills, just seems to have lost his  confidence as well as that of the coaches. Sometimes a change of scenery with a new start and good coaching can work wonders.

Mariota just isn't that good.  Never understood the hype behind him.

No thanks on Bridgewater either.  He's decent, but I'm not sure what the benefit is of bringing in a decent middle-aged QB at this point.

I'd take a shot on Mariota.

He's had 4 OCs and 3 coaches in 5 seasons. He also has something we are very familiar with - a horrible OL. Mariota does a lot of things well, but his confidence and play has been shoddy. I think it''s inconsistencies on the staff/organization and not having the necessary tutelage around as a young QB.

There's probably a 10 million dollar/year difference between Mariota and Bridgewater at this point. I'm suggesting going after the affordable guy who has potential and may just need the right coach/system. No harm in trying if he's cheap.

    • For the silly people that worship her it will be that.  The Coleman 'legend' thing, they did that with another fairly average player that was here and I sort of mocked or questioned the 'legend' status. Instantly caught crap for insulting someone's favorite Panther. So okay, Kurt Coleman is a Legend.
    • You allow him to compete--you all are talking as if I am proposing making him the starter. Give him a new coach, new weapons, good OL, etc. and see what happens. You are saying, "Well Damn.  It did not work for 3 guys..."  Right now, our C is injured, we lost our top 2 WRs.  Better question:  If you need a QB, Why would you not take a chance on bringing in a QB who was a former first rounder, a good arm, intelligence, mobility, youth, etc.  and see how he does out of NY--with a better OL, better running game, better receivers.  I am not saying give him a 10-year contract, I am saying give him a chance. You act like there is no improvement on offense here--it was a 2 year process, and next year is year 2.  To me, how can you sit there with Bryce and an opportunity to sign a veteran QB on the cheap comes available and you say--"Not us. We're good.  We are waiting for Patrick Mahommes."  Jone's problem is obviously mental--and he has little support.  Why is this so frigging hard to comprehend.  It is called "bottom fishing" and it is better than sitting in the boat.
    • I think we're going to fall from behind quite early and be forced to abandon the run game.  3 rushes -2 yards 1 catch -10 yards
