How long do you give this coaching staff?

5 total.

Should get in the playoffs in 2, 3 at the most. If no Superbowl in the first 5 years it ain't going to happen then we should move on.

That thing about no HC/QB combo winning their first SB together after 5 years in was a real eyeopener, wasn't it? I admit, it made me rethink some things.

Brees and Ryan will be gone shortly and our division will change as we change with it, so i expect us to have a winning record in three years and   playoff bound years 4 and 5. I believe Teppers will open his pocketbook and give the GM and HC the staff they want and things they need regardless of the cost.

Do we know for certain that we'll have our new HC/QB combo this year?

No we don't, but I'm guessing that information is factoring into why Rayzor gave a 5 year mark. I know it would mine. But I'd be willing to give Rhule and company an extra year or two if they play patient and don't reach for a qb prospect this year. The best case scenario would be Cam staying and being productive. There's a lot of factors stacked against that, but given how hard finding a franchise qb is, I wouldn't fault Rhule for making every effort to see what he has in Cam and then moving on if it doesn't work out for whatever reason. I think if he does and it works, that obviously speeds things up. If it doesn't, an extra season or two of patience to acquire our qb might be needed.

One season to learn how to coach in the NFL. If they don't have a winning record the following season, it's open season on insults.

Wow at some people willing to wait three seasons.

He really is going to have to have a quick turnaround. Next year will be a sacrificial one getting poo figured out. After that no excuses.

Some guys on here act like this is college basketball. This freshman class is going to be great in a few years!

You win or your job is in jeopardy in the NFL.

Well...it should be. Not always the case. Depend's on how much you value continuity as an owner over winning.

Also, they are trying to build a winning culture in the process.   Granted that sounds silly considering who has his hands in it.

Yep. We waited and waited on Rivera to figure shxt out, and it resulted in 3 or 4 winning seasons out of 9, and the man still making rookie mistakes well into this last year of coaching.

He gets this year to sort out the kinks, and afterwards I expect a winning season or at the very least vast improvements from the first. Losing and rookie mistakes in year two will and should bring out the insults.
