I dated a Bon Jovi nut for 2 years. She insisted we go to his HOF induction in Cleveland. I agreed cause Canton is otw there.

I would invite the head of the Cleveland symphony to go with you, and tell him to bring his baton / stick thing.  Then once inside, you could have him wave it while you played a harmonica or a mouth harp or something.  Then you could tell people that you were conducted in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

FOR THE BIG GAME:

Pick a winner. Pick it correctly, and get 1 point.

Project a final score total (total points of both teams combined.) Hit it on the nose and get 15 bonus points. Pick it within 5 points and get 10 bonus points. Hit it within 10 points and pat yourself on the back, because you just earned 1 point.

Predict the first TD in the game by a non-QB player by name (ie. name a RB, WR, FB or TE). Guess the correct person on offense, and you get 5 bonus points.   If you predict a defensive player, and are correct, then you get 20 points.

Predict the first player on each team to record a reception and get 5 points each.

Successfully predict how many plays the first scoring drive is (penalty plays do not count), and you get 25 points.

As an aside, Joe Buck will mention Montana in the 3rd QTR

To be clear, In the third quarter, Buck will mention Montana, or Buck will mention Montana in the third quarter?  See?  This is how Bronn tries to trick us so that Fake Plastic Trees--if that is his REAL name, wins.  Bronn has 2 accounts--the fake trees account is his alter ego--this way, he plays both sides of the fence.  Kinda like Mr Scot and that bird.

I'm taking the Chiefs, although I acknowledge it might be a sentimental pick. Pendleton picked the treat representing the 49ers. As usual, I predict the extra stuff for both of us.

Full rundown follows...

Winner (Me): Chiefs

Winner (Pendleton): 49ers

Score Total: 62 points

First Non-QB Touchdown: George Kittle

First KC Reception: Travis Kelce

First SF Reception: Emmanuel Sanders

First Scoring Drive: 9 plays

I figured I would just update this thread rather than start a new one.

Congrats to @Datawire who, because of my wonky benchmarks for points in the big game, pulled out the last minute upset to take the championship.

He didn't pick the correct winner, got within 10 points of the final score total, but blew it all out of the water by picking the correct number of plays for the first drive and earning the 25 bonus points. He totaled 26 points on the week.

@FakePlasticTrees continued his strong performance on the year, joining myself as the closest to the actual final score. I was one point away, and he was three, so we both earned 10 points for that, the only two participants to do so. He earned 16 points for the week.

I was by myself in third place this week with 11 total points.

@MHS831 and @Khyber53 both posted respectable scores of 7 points.

@Mr. Scot and @bigdavis only tallied 1 point for the week.

And with all being right in the world, the bird scored zero points in the final week.

Here are how the final standings looked. Congrats to all who stuck with it, and thanks for the weekly work, lol.
