Not in the slightest. It’s simply that I do not trust this coaching hiring to produce anything on the NFL, especially with Hurney running the roster still.

I'm viewing it as a double edged sword like in most careers. Green rookies. No bad habits at the NFL level, but also no experience. So, the possibility for them to grow and adapt and coach in a way that is not predicated on former experience which can lead to old ideas not working today...but also, could be in over their heads.

We shall see.

Perfectly put. We saw what happens when you hire old had beens but we have seen what happens when you hire fresh eyes out of college.

Should be an extremely interesting next couple of years. Our HC, OC and DC all have zero NFL experience outside a couple years as low level assistants.

Yep, but at least they’ve had a taste at the NFL level and have seen the workings first hand.  I hope this means that they won’t be totally overwhelmed.

David NewtonESPN Staff Writer

Baylor quarterback Charlie Brewer said new Panthers defensive coordinator Phil Snow will be aggressive just like he was at Baylor under Matt Rhule, Carolina's new head coach: “He'll give you a lot of looks. He'll blitz you from every which direction. He's similar to coach Rhule. He's passionate and real intense. He'll get the best out of his players. He knows what he's doing and he's had success everywhere he's been.''

Id like to see Baylor’s D rankings under snow

Year 1 at Baylor after all the violations: The team is 1-11 and the defense ranks 114 out of 130.

Year 2 at Baylor: They move up to 91.

Year 3, the first year their recruiting class has time to make an impact: 19th out of 130 in a conference that just plays offense.

Temple? His four years he finished: 84th, 4th, 18th and 11th.

He performs DC better than Rhules squads have performed offense.

Playing offense and scoring points in college... every team does it for the most part. Its really hard to stay top 25 defense as a team but Snow has done in 4 times in 7 years.

True. Still Rons staff looks better and has 100x the pro-exp. Ron run his course here, but Rhules' era maybe be much shorter.

Ron’s staff is our old one with Del Rio (who is a good hire). I’ve seen what that staff has produced.

Yep its rather sad, still better than Rhules. Fact is it has 100x more pro-level experience. Rhules staff is a HUUUGGEE unknown with a 30 year old thats never called plays as OC and a 64 never-was calling plays against Payton, Bruce, and Juilo. Rhules words-" Im not some offensive or defensive guru, I just hire people and work hard". Its going be to  some rough year/s.
