The thought never entered my mind.  As a white extremely heterosexual male, I am most bigoted toward ignorant white heterosexual males.

Same.

But what I find amusing is how the phrase “not to derail the thread” got ignored as it clearly was intended to say “here’s on offhand thought I had in passing when looking at the OP.” The number of people who then got extremely butthurt at my going off topic (cause that never happens here) or casting aspersions at racists (which btw nothing about my post implies they are everywhere, merely that they exist) would be funny if it weren’t a little sad.

Most of my ire is reserved for people who insist on driving on the same roads I’m on, showing up at the restaurant I want to dine at, or otherwise inconvenience me by living their lives in a way that does not put my needs ahead of their own. I don’t care what these people look like, merely that they’re in my way.

Any relation to former dook basketball player Rasheed Suliamon who was kicked off the team when dook couldn’t cover up any more of his sexual assaults?

Rasheed is black. He also played an entire suspension-free season following his departure from Duke.

Samir Suleiman (Suh-meer Sool-e-min) is entering his 18th season in the NFL and sixth season as the Steelers’ Football Administration Coordinator. Suleiman assists primarily with the management of the salary cap, player contract negotiations and team logistics. In 2015, he was selected to attend the NFL Career Development Symposium for front office personnel.

Previously, he worked for the St. Louis Rams (2000-09), first, as one of the youngest Directors in the NFL in the newly-created position of Director of Football Administration, then was promoted to Director of Football Operations in 2005, where he was the team’s secondary football executive, primary negotiator and liaison with the NFL Office and helped oversee all aspects of football operations (player personnel, coaching, budgeting, medical, video, equipment and player programs) as well as evaluated both college and pro players (including most responsibilities of pro scouting directors), culminating in the Rams’ Super Bowl XXXVI appearance. In 2005, he was selected to represent the Rams at the NFL-Stanford University Graduate School of Business Executive Education Program for Managers, and in 2008, Suleiman was a panelist on football analytics at the MIT Sloan Sports Business Conference. Prior to joining the Rams, he served as Manager of Contract Information for the Jacksonville Jaguars (1998-1999) when the franchise won their first two division championships. He was also hired in 2011 as an Expert Witness for the winning Defense in the Aldra Wilson v. Chad J. Prusmack, M.D. malpractice lawsuit.

Can you link to a trial or press release with this information?

He was dismissed from the team for being a sexual predator and the dook b-ball team and administration swept it under the rug - just like they did with Corey Maggettee years before. Duke fans are so terrible.

Ah, so you are a blind homer with irrational hatred towards a college athletics program. You must be so annoying to your friends and family. Thanksgiving dinner and someone is talking about their son's soccer match and you blurt out saying something incoherent about Duke's soccer players being spoiled kids from New Jersey.

Take a deep breath, man. It's sports.

You are exactly like all the 3rd grade UNC fans from my childhood that made the hate their athletics so much. The difference is the rest of us grew up. You are still the annoying third  grade Tarheel fan who spells the other ACC teams in a funny way.

We are discussing the new hire of the Panthers . Keep your juvenile UNC fetish out of it

The Steelers, like many of the “old guard “ teams favor lower guarantees in the contract negotiations.  Part of this comes from the injury problem but some because teams must escrow the entire guaranteed portion upon signing and most of the owners don’t have that kind of money outside the value of the franchise (which has limits on borrowing).  The new CBA is apparently loosening both the escrow and borrowing limits. As players have started to compare their contracts with other leagues, more are demanding a higher guaranteed percentage.  We’ll see if Tepper can bring this Steeler philosophy to the Panthers with this hire. He certainly can’t complain about the lack of funds in the negotiations.
