Hollis Thomas doing better than Kemoeatu?

Kemo is a question for next year and thomas has been around for 14 years and really don't have many years left. If we do resign him it will be for one year only. Long enough for the new coach to find a guy like thomas to take that starter roll. Thomas is short term answer. Not long term. Tyler might be be long term if he shows up and plays well.

Also..what about D.Lewis..he will be 32

our DT next year

Leonard

Lewis

Hayden

Kemo

Irvin

Tyler

plus a Deep DT class..I can see a lot of these guys gone

It depends on if Kemo can come back. If he does then no one will be able to run on us. I could see Lewis and Hayden being let go. And I could also see Thomas on the team next year.

Don't forget we like to use CJ at DT so that might save a roster spot.

Even if we had Thomas AND Kemo next year, no way would they play at the same time. They're both nose tackles, and neither is known for penetration. Put them in at the same time and watch the opposing QB go wild...

We need two big nose tackles given that Kemo has been hurt part of the last 2 years and we were very poor when he went down.

No way would they play at the same time though. The pocket would be there all day if they did.

leonard is better as a 3 technique guy not a nose tackle.

He's got the size to play the nose position, and the lack of speed to ride the bench as a UT. :)

I don't see him starting as long as Tyler is on the roster. If he sticks it will be as a nose tackle, and he needs time to develop there.
