Lol. Again, you and others said before that Allen really had nothing to do with the wins. The D and CMC carried him was the narrative, right? Now it’s Allen carried this awful team to four straight victories causing us a chance at Burrow, right? It’s so sad that people hate Allen so much they will let themselves be deluded into changing narratives.

It’s funny too because I wasn’t a baby goat guy, but I didn’t mind him playing well when I thought we weren’t awful. I just enjoy calling out the guys who hated Allen winning in place of Cam that they listed every reason why it wasn’t because of Allen and now we get a hypocritical take that Allen won those games my himself. Funny.

You're worked up over "narratives", but for me I'm concerned about building a winning team. We have many needs. Starting with quarterback. That's where the discussion around draft position comes in. We needed a top pick very badly this year.

The 4 touchdown passes against Arizona started the hype. Unfortunately it was fools gold. You have to use this and other past experiences we have seen unfold with past failed Panthers quarterbacks as a learning experience. We got really lucky and backed our way into Cam Newton when we didn't expect it. That kind of opportunity only comes knocking so often. If we want our future guy odds are we are going to have to draft him. If not this year then next year.

From what I have been hearing, Cincy has one of the most frugal owners in the NFL and Burrow going there will just make his career a poo show.

Yep, he should consider pulling a Manning or suck it up in the combine, etc

At the very least I would play for Cinci (Miami and the chargers are just as bad as organizations) but refuse to come back after my rookie contract.

At least he’d have a chance.

Fans want to give up multiple picks for Burrow because hes worth it , checks off all the boxes, future franchise Qb

Meanwhile The Bengals who can see everything and more that the fans see and can get Burrows for FREE but will trade the pick because............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Except maybe they will...

Bengals executive disputes report

Duke Tobin, the Bengals’ director of player personnel, said ESPN’s report that Cincinnati won’t trade the No. 1 pick no matter what is “news to me.”

“I don’t know that any decision has been made for what we’re going to do in April,” Tobin said Monday, via Geoff Hobson of the team website. “We’re early in the process. We certainly haven’t had any meetings to determine that at this point. Those will be meetings we’ll have as we go through the process.”

A Bengal executive having no clue as to what they are going to do?  I'm glad I was sitting down for that one.  Whodathunkit?

I really would not expect anybody on any team to swear off trading a high first round pick at this point, even if they internally had sworn it off.  You never know what some desperate (or delusional) team will offer in return.

But I believe we are just too many needs away from being able to make a deal at this point that would interest them, and not leave us with Burrows and a ton of all-too-familiar holes and no way to fill them.  And then wind up getting Burrows killed back there.

Tobin's actually in charge over there. He just doesn't have the title of "GM".

As far as the Bengals, I wouldn't wanna limit my options. You never know what somebody might offer.
