I struggled with that too---RR will think he gets a recycled Cam?  I am thinking that RR will like Young.

The starting quarterback takes the brunt of the criticism, that's the NFL. All you heard for Cam the last several months is his record in his last starts, 0-8, fair or not that's the way the league works.

Unfortunately for a number of Panthers fans who badly wanted Allen to be the next franchise quarterback, not only was he not, but that win streak kept us far away from the top pick. Not only that, we can't even hang our hats on any divisional wins. We went 1-5 in the NFCS in 2019. We robbed ourselves of a top 5 pick in a year where we need it the most and not only did we tumble into the cellar of the division in the process, but the conference. There are no silver linings here bub.

Our OL was already shot to poo in 2019, then Cam went down. We weren't going anywhere regardless. Certainly not with that divisional record either. The pointless wins made you and some others feel all warm and fuzzy inside but unfortunately it could put a serious damper in our ability to field a decent team the next few years. But hey I hope you enjoyed yourself singing your baby goat tune.

Kansas City can probably get the #1 from Cincy.  All they have to do is trade Mahomes to them.  Maybe Houston or Baltimore could do the same....just swap Watson or Jackson, respectively.  I would have serious doubts about anybody else, unless they were willing to trade a couple of top-level players in other positions.

Assuming we are looking down the barrel of a full rebuild, and I think we are, there is no law that says you have to start it by drafting your future QB.  In fact, our QB depth chart in 2020 may look a lot like it did in 2019 unless somebody becomes available to us unexpectedly.  Even if the Bengals bengal the #1 pick, several other teams need to bengal their picks for Burrows to slip to us.  Maybe a scenario where he shows up to draft day in handcuffs with a U.S. Marshal escort could cause him to be available to us.

And give our list of needs is longer than the Titanic, I don't see us parting with enough to move up.
