He is really not this good.. You guys need to chill..

Reality check.. He lost his job to a guy who probably won't be drafted in the 1st round..

Yeah and Burrow lost his job. Many college coaches make mistakes when evaluating talent. Burrow had so much growth in 1 yr and was a transfer. Justin Fields is better than Fromm but transferred. Cant just go by GA tape.

I believe Eason will be there in round 2 or early round 3. Most likely gone in the second. I wouldn't use pick 7 on him. The only QB I would take in that spot is Tua.

Interesting. So who do you have above Eason? Burrow, Tua, Herbert and Love? I can't imagine only 4 QBs in the 1st 2 rounds. Also I think Eason is better than Herbert and Love is an absolute wild card.

You want in terms of where I rank them or the order I think they will be drafted?

Why not both? We got a ton of time before draft to change our positions! I usually change who I want about 3-4 times.

Im controversial on the QBs. I think Tua is the best QB in this class but the Bengals need to play it a little safe and go with the guy who has been healthier. After them I do not truly like any of the QBs in this class. If you are picking a Herbert you are hoping he breaks the Oregon QB curse. Fromm, Love and Eason would all be guys I would take if the rest of my team didn't have glaring holes. The teams like the Saints would snag a guy like that and see if they can develop him but they would do it in the second round or third. Anybody throwing to Thomas is going to have some success.

Ok...why would u take Tua?  He is amazingly injury prone

I respect your thoughts

Eason is Big Ben

Yeah the way I see it, the Panthers are not going to fill all their holes in 1 offseason. I wouldn't be mad at them trying for a QB if they liked one.

Myself i am still the play it safe person. I would like LT Thomas in Round 1 or DT from Auburn. In round 2 give me another interior lineman or even a LB like Patrick Queen.

what we work off of most of the time is the opinion of others.

normal joes like us cannot watch every game of every player, so, we rely on "mocks" and "big boards" and the Kipers of the world to tell us what to value.  It changes as we get through the combine and stuff starts to leak

AT THIS POINT, with what we know, Eason would be available for our second round pick.  Now, if his big arm coincides with other things that teams are looking for, then he will move up into the first and into the 20's of the that round.

I mentioned awhile back when everyone was mocking us with Herbert, that we'd be better off to take OT Thomas at 7 and Eason in the 2nd.  Since then, we have hired a coach and an OC.  Not sure what they will be looking for.  Might be the cannon armed guy or might be someone who can be extremely accurate on crossing routes of 10-20 yds.

Will keep my powder dry on this one

Eason is not a statue.  He can run ok, but it's not something they wanted him doing.  In the games I watched (about 3-4), he showed the ability to move around the pocket fairly well.  But if you're looking for a running QB like Cam or someone of that ilk, Eason is not your guy.  His mobility is closer to Carson Palmer's than Drew Bledsoe's.

The thing with Eason is that he's still raw.  He hasn't played much until this year (and took a year off after transferring), so needs time.  He probably should have stayed another year to continue his development.  If he had, he likely would have been a clear 1st round pick in the 2021 draft.  As it is, he'll likely be a late 1st or early 2nd round pick simply because of his basic skill set.

Because of his lack of experience, he can struggle with his decision making when heavily pressured.  And while he is very accurate on all three levels, he needs to improve his touch on deep balls.  So, wherever he is drafted, he'll likely need a "redshirt" year with a solid QB coach.  But if given time, he can be a very good starting QB.

PAC 12 QBs scare the poo out of me.  After Burrow and Tua, the rest of those guys do not separate themselves.  I know Herbert is the consensus #3, but he's close to Fromm, Eason and Love than the first two.  That's why I am dead set NOT to take a QB at #7 because Burrow and Tua will be gone.  If you got basically the 'same guy' the next several picks, why not wait until the 2nd round?

Eason *might be* a Big Ben type of player. Like he could truly be. It is hard to know from the talent he had around himself this past season. I don't really buy into the "he lost his starting job to Fromm who isn't a first rounder" dialogue either. He lost his job because he got hurt and the kid who filled in took them to a big game and played well. Fromm also kept the job over Fields and I don't think Fromm is in the league of Fields at all. My issues with Eason is putting the ball in the end zone. In the two years he played full time he put up a total of 39 passing TDS. That, while I admit I have only watched about 6 games of his, looks like a stat line of a guy who put up yards when the field has a lot of space and has a hard time throwing when the field gets smaller.

As for why take Tua over Burrow? Tua had one freak accident injury and the others weren't anything major. Tua performed at a high level every single year in college. Burrow is, regardless of what some want to believe, a one year wonder. In 2018 he had a year where if LSU was going to be great he was going to have to put the team on his back. And he couldn't. I still think he is going to be an above average QB in the NFL. I don't know if he will ever be a top 10 QB but if I am picking #1 overall I want a QB who is a top 10 type Qb. Guys don't typically increase their completion % by 20% and throw 44 more TDs going from their age 22 season to their age 23 season by just getting better.

Everything fell into place perfectly for LSU. Almost all of their playmakers were now going to play their last season of college ball as Juniors and go to the NFL Draft. The only guy left on offense is JaMarr Chase who I think is the best WR in the country.

Like there is a lot you can question about Burrow's career and wonder if this is a perfect place at the perfect time. There aren't any questions about Tua's past performances. He has been dominant every single year, for years.

It won't be a 1:1 but Kyle Trask is another guy that the NFL might fall in love with and he started this year not playing. Now he had a surprisingly successful year with the Gators, will be their #1 next year and if the Gators go top 5 and he shows improvement, he might be an undrafted to first or second round guy in 1 season. I guess when it comes to me I really appreciate consistent greatness over a flash of it.
