Well I can't say that that specific case is real, but I do know that there's a disorder that causes people to do stuff like that.

Lol possibly. But I first heard about it after watching this episode of ER (when it was more realistic, mind you) where the exact thing happened. Did a little research, and, lo and behold, there was a disease/disability. But isn't there for everything, nowadays?

There was a dude on Ripley's Believe it or Not on TV once who liked to eat glass/nails/screws/etc. so I probably wouldn't doubt that this is real

Delhomeboy is right. There is a disorder that causes people to have the desire to eat metal. Usually those afflicted eat coins (which can be just as dangerous). Never heard of eating cutlery.

But you've seen british fine dining on TV, I'm sure. Their forks look like they come with a child's toy tea set.

there is also a disease where you pull out and eat your own hair....i forgot the name of it....but its some crazy shyt
