Highlights:

• Was nominated as a top five finalist for the Broyles award (best assistant coach in college football) but none other than our own Joe Brady ultimately won.
• Used a 3-3-5 defense
• Took them from worst in yards per play in 2018  to first in 2019 in the conference
• Went from 9th, to 8th and then first end points allowed per game from 17-19
• Baylor's defense ranked 2nd nationally with at least 1 takeaway in 14 consecutive games at time of article (12-2-19)
• In last 14 games they improved to 31 combined picks and fumble recoveries, after only having 6 in the prior 14 games.
• Ranked 3rd nationally with 16 picks, 5th with a +12 turnover margin and 9th with 40 sacks (tied a big 12 record for sacks in a season)

Highlights: 

• Matt Rhule was offered Oregon job in addition to Baylor. He said it was a "we" decision because he knew he was taking Snow with him. Snow said Baylor, so they wouldn't have to get on a plane to recruit people
• Clay Johnson a LB for Baylor, called him a Yoda of football, Snow never watched Star Wars, then found out Yoda was very wisea and 1000 years old. Snow then replied "well yeah, that's what I am 1000 years old". (He was born in 55, so will turn 65 this year)

From July 2017

Highlights:

• This was his 41st year coaching (making last year his 43rd)
• Mentions he improved Temples defense every year, getting them to 3rd in the nation his final year there in in yard per game (282.5)
• Rhule recalls their first year at temple, they started 0-5 and had the 129th defense in the nation. Dick Vermeil called him and said "just keep believing in yourself", said people were calling for Snow to be fired, but Rhule trusted his gut to stick with him. The next year the broke the top 25 in defense. After that, Rhule says "everyone in the nation tried to hire Snow away from me" and the lesson he learned was to " be consistent, not to panic, follow a process, rather than emotion"
• One player said a difference between their previous coordinator and Snow is that the old one" would gripe at you on the field, Snow won't do that, he'll save it for the meeting room"
• Other players mentioned more contact in practice under snow. Snows thought process on that matter; " Nobody says oh that's a tough baby, when a baby is born, its the environment that you're put in, we put them in a tough environment , if your going to be tough you've got to be in a tough environment.

Start of the 19 season, 

Only real takeaway was that the Defense played great 90% of the time the year prior, but gave up explosive plays 10% of the time. The 3-3-5 switch was intended to fix that and apparently did.
