What used to be one of Cam's strengths which was handling the blitz became a significant weaknesses and something the Steelers demonstrated that game

If management has already decided he isn’t the answer long term..of course you have to trade him now while you can still get something for him. If he plays out his contract this year he walks and we get nothing . Not ideal .

Apparently Tepper disagrees with your risk assessment.   Seems he's decided to move on regardless of Cams "health".

The way i see it, Cam will not be willing to play out this year without an extension. We will say no to the extension, Cam will say trade me or i walk. We trade him for what we can get and use the 19 million saved to build for the future.
