If you cut him you get nothing. Comp picks are only for players entering free agency due to their contract expiring. If you release them they do not count toward comp pick consideration.

We won’t get poo in a trade. At the best we’ll get a 3rd or 4th rounder and draft someone who won’t be on the team next year. 

Because our decisions don’t matter one bit if Cam stays or leave. You can drink yourself to sleep along with pain pills about this topic. At the end of the day, Rhule and Brady will decide if Cam will stay or leave. The writing is on the wall for Cam.

If Cam isn't the long term answer and you are building for the long term then you move on and take that 20 million and put it elsewhere. That is the thinking of the team right now for better or worse.

If we move on from Cam this year without seeing if he can still play not only will it be dumb but it would most likely be the result of releasing him and not a trade. 

You missed the most important part. He costs 20 million? And will cost that much at least on a new contract.
