Rapoport's Guess: Panthers will look to trade Cam once healthy

I'd love to say this board will be SO much better once such a polarizing guy like Cam is gone, but whomever is the QB will get a season long troll job by Cooter and his followers. Well maybe Tua can satisfy their cravings. But we aren't drafting him or Joe. I predict a 2nd round QB if Cam is gone.

holy poo all you cam fans are butthurt as hell, what does it even matter and long as he’s still playing you have a team to root for

Why would you have a problem with people being fans of Cam or upset about him leaving? People were upset about Luke retiring, yet I didn’t see you make this type of post in there.

Cooter, his followers, and Cam fans live in your head. Yikes.

If the best is a 3rd, hard pass. Let him hit FA and maybe get a 3rd comp out of it. Late 2nd has that same feel too.

So we can choose where he goes, and even if it’s a third it will be higher than a comp pick...but we should cut him, let him go to a division rival possibly, and get the comp pick. Seems legit.

I don’t understand how anyone is surprised that Cam might be traded or not with the Panthers next year.

Im not surpised at the trading Cam, I am surpised at how fast this all happened. Im still stuck at the beginning of 2019 thinking this team had a good shot at playoffs and thinking at least 5 more prime years of Luke and Cam, now we are here. I do not like here.

who cares if he goes to a rival? worried we might have to face him twice? if so, why not keep him?

AMEN

I'm so tired of the "Cam fan" bullshit. When did it become a sin to be a fan of the damn QB on your team?

The other option is to sign an extension for a 31 year old QB who’s been injured the last two years...with a new coach, new system, and a team that has seen essentially every meaningful veteran leave or retire in the last two years.

Yeah....trading him is the right move.

I would prefer they just cut him if they are moving on.  That way Cam can go wherever he wants.  That's the decent thing to do.

Cam can refuse to report, besides its only 1 year contract. If it gets ungly I can see Cam going to either the Bucs or Saints. I have no idea where he could be traded too, i doubt he wants to go somewhere like the bungals.
