Prescott was young and developing--he did it to improve his stock to get a better salary offer.  Cam is on a 3rd contract---there is only one way to go--down--for him.

He's 30.  How many top flight QB's have gone on to have incredible years when they are 34, 35...hell even 40?  He should still be in the prime of his career.  Hes not a goddamn running back.  QBs do not fall off a cliff at age 30.

There was an old study that showed RB's tend to drop off at 1,200 career rushing attempt's and cliff dive at 2,000 hits. Cam as 934 rushing attempts on his body in addition to as of 2016 831 additional hits taken.... That is a minimum of 1,765 hits....

Example Tom Brady has 606 career rushing attempts, Drew Brees 480 career attempts.... since 2001 for both.

Cam is a different style of player than the long lived pocket passers....

You can make a strong comparison that his body in fact has taken a similar pounding comparable to a running back.

Micheal Vick has almost 900 career rushing attempts, and at 31 years old he had his BEST year of his entire career. Stats are just that. Stats. Cam Newton is not done in this league. Not even close.

That's ridiculous. Cam has never taken the level of punishment that CMC takes every game.

He's probably taken one season worth of running back hits in his entire career.

If Cam wants out or refuses to play without a new contract, then we don't really have a choice. If he wants to stay, I don't really think it's worth trading him. At this point, we'd get a 3rd rounder for him probably. The teams that need QB's the most are picking 1, 5, and 6. Teams wouldn't be willing to offer much. Cam could have a comeback season, that's not worth getting a 3rd rounder that Hurney is likely to miss on.

Remind me again how well Vick did after that? Cam has taken a hell of a beating.

You do have to remember when looking at this that Vick took a couple of years off to...rest and recover.
