Should the Panthers go all in on Joe Burrow?

I'm sure they will draft a QB, this year or the next to add to the depth if the opportunity were to arise.  I'm guessing they will draft QB quite regularly from here in out.  Even if they hit on one right away they will continue to churn the QB depth chart, unlike in the years past to prevent what we are experiencing now.

Yeah my whole viewpoint on this is I just try and think in terms of Rhule and Teppers process and how a young star QB and a healthy Cap are about as good of a base as you can have in the league. We are just breaking ground in Tepper and Rhules mind and overpaying for a solid foundation feels like something they’d do.

I'm pretty sure the Rams made it to a Super Bowl recently.

When was the last time the Cowboys even won a playoff game?

They didn't win. Now Gurley has regressed again. And now they don't have the draft capital to address their needs.

Risking it all only works when you win it all.

Without an Oline and Dline, you don't have sh%t. Proven time and time again to be a fact. Alot of short memories in this forum.

But you cant build both in the same year specially through the draft.  Reason you need to focus on one this year through the draft and the other through free agency.

1st 2n d 3rd round all offensive line.

Honestly I have no idea how they are going to turn this around.  Logic says you start with the trenches and build out.  But until all the domino's fall I can't venture to guess where they start building first.

I can almost guarantee they are not thinking quick turnaround.

How exactly are the Cowboys a better example to follow though?

That's like saying "no, don't do what the Titans did; you should be following the Jaguars example".

I thought we all agree that the Cowboys are a very talented team that has underperformed due to poor coaching.

Or you see if a QB slides. If you're done with Cam you're going to get much better value moving up to get someone like Tua then giving away the farm for Burrow.

I actually like Tua a lot but the hip scares me. Even if he does fully “recover” that injury could impact his on field performance the rest of his career.

I would not be surprised that if Tua is there at 7 they pull the trigger and take a chance on him.  I also think that even if they do draft one this year the odds are they do again next year as well.

Under no circumstances.

Between the draft capitol that we would have to give up, paired with our terrible O Line, we may ruin him before he gets out of the gate.

We aren't a QB away, if we were, my tune would be different.

I would. Just gotta go out and sign some veteran Oline pieces. We can fix the offense MUCH faster then the D. Similar to Cams rookie year.

The Cowboys have been bad for way too long to just blame it on Jason Garrett.

They beat the Seahawks and loss to the Rams by one score last year. Then they fired their coach because he failed to make the playoffs with a team expected to be a contender.

But that's here nor there. The point is they are a team that's pretty much on par with the Rams, but they have a chance to improve their team via the draft, unlike the Rams who also didn't make the playoffs.
