Should the Panthers go all in on Joe Burrow?

You’re right. We should keep wasting picks on guys like Will Grier and the long list of other awful non first round draft picks under Hurney and hopefully one day hit the jackpot.

To be fair, what we should do is get a real GM, then maybe we wouldn't be in this situation.

It won't to two entire draft classes. Per the trade value chart, it's roughly #7, this year's 2nd, and next year's 1st. Would I give up that? Yep.

Especially considering we'll get something back by then moving Cam. Who knows, maybe the Bengals would want Cam themselves.

If that's really what it would take, I'd do it

I strongly suspect Cam playing for us long term just dropped almost to zero with Luke’s retirement.

But that aside, I don't favor going all in on Burrow because I think what it would take to get him would rob us of any chance of giving him a line that won’t get him killed. It’s hard to have a dynamic offense of your qb has to get rid of the ball in under a second or risk getting creamed.

In don't think Luke's decision will have any influence on Cam whatsoever. At least not on Cam's side. If we move on it will likely be the organization's decision. It just isn't the way Cam is wired IMO

No chance we draft Burrow .. Joe Brady is going to knock the OC job out of the ballpark here with Cam then go to Cinci to be Head Coach and re-join Burrow

Cam cant even get on the field and play a whole season. Yet you think we will risk another season without a suitable starter?

I didn't say anything about who they should draft.  And I'm on record about how I feel about Hurney.  This team needs bodies and lots of them no matter who is selecting them

just a reminder....Joe Burrow sucked last year.  Joe Burrow actually never did poop in college until after he graduated college.   So LSU should of moved on from him last year.  This season shouldn't of happened b that logic.

Our new coach loved Grier.  Our new staff couldn't stop Will Grier in reality.  Will Greir abused them. They might not be in a rush give away all their draft stock for a QB.  What is around a QB matters and you need draft picks to build that.  Talent around a QB, coaching, and scheme.

I don't see this new staff giving away draft picks to move up in the draft.  That just isn't how you rebuild.

Yes.  Or you can do what they do in Miami, Jacksonville, NY Jets, Minnesota, etc. and spend a decade going after one-and-done QBs.  You have to really believe in the pick, and we have a person who might help us evaluate the situation with more insight than others.

Law of averages say Cam is due for health .. betting on Cam has way more upside than downside

Again, you're insane if you think we won't see Cam get to work with Joe Brady and Rhule ..

If you have his college OC and everyone is convinced he's an elite franchise QB, then yes.

With QB salaries these days, the value of a franchise QB on a rookie contract for five years is pretty much invaluable.

No one would know better than Joe Brady.

Won’t argue that but there aren’t a ton of teams that draft well. Look at KC’s last 4 draft classes

Hardman, Hunt and Hill are the only dudes worth a damn minus the QB and Hunt isn’t there anymore.

But Mahomes makes up for it all. If you think Burrow is that franchise type guy then having him or any franchise QB makes up for a lot of things. One of those things would be the draft picks traded away.

Once you are injured you are never back to what you once where. Age and wear and tear always win out.
