Should the Panthers go all in on Joe Burrow?

How did this thread make it to 15 pages?

My goodness people there is a 0% chance the Bengals even entertain trading the #1 pick. There is nothing to discuss here, stop playing Madden and be an adult for once.

Luckily it is morphing into a discussion of something more realistic in our universe.

I agree, in order for the Bengals to trade their number one to us, we would have to somehow work a deal to bring Mahomes, Jackson, Watson, or maybe Wilson here and then trade him to Cincinnati.  They are the Bengals for a reason, but......

Anybody got a list of the Free Agent vet QB's out there?  I know Mariota and Winston....but is there anyone else worth giving a shot too, especially with our newly found QB whisperer?  Personally I want the to do everything they can to keep Cam and give him a shot if hes healthy with our new regime....that may not be in the cards though.

Bridgewater is the other younger guy.  You could go real old with Brady, Rivers, or Manning if you really wanted to I guess.

I think Derek Carr might become available, but Brady, Brees, Manning--I expect 1 to retire (Manning), 1 is simply negotiating for a 2-year deal (Brees) and Brady is hard to read.  I am guessing he stays in NE or goes to Indy for 2 seasons.

Teddy B is interesting...he looked pretty good in the New Orleans system this year.  Although if you're going to go this route, you might as well just keep Cam is hes healthy.

They just discussed this on Speak For Yourself. They said Tepper is the richest owner in the NFL and Brady and Rhule wants Burrow and will pursue it aggressive.

It would have to be something crazy like 4 future 1st round picks and maybe our entire draft this year for the Bengals to even pick up the phone.

This talk is fun to have, but in reality there is no way this is even realistic to even consider. Plus Burrow's dad just came out and said his son would love to play for the Bengals. That's pretty much the stamp of approval he's the #1 pick.

All these what if scenarios about the top pick just make me look back to that mirage of a 4 game win streak in 2019. We started off 0-2, should have just kept going. Instead, we fuged ourselves out of the top overall pick in a year where we could use it the most timing wise.

The bright side is they will get another shot at sucking next season.

Fromm is garbage, IMO. I've watched a ton of UGA games and Fields was the better QB last year. Fromm is a boring QB with a weak arm, and limited mobility.

I'd rather gamble on Love if he's there in the 2nd and sit him behind Cam for a year or if we are rolling the dice, I'd take the "other" UGA QB from yesteryear, Jacob Eason. Eason is 6'6" with a cannon for an arm, though he does have a bit of Josh Allen where his decision making is questionable.

Honestly, 2021 is the QB class I am eyeing.
