Should the Panthers go all in on Joe Burrow?

True. Tua is a fantastic prospect IF he checks out medically.

I'm just going to struggle being sold on moving on from Cam due to injury concerns to make a big move on a college QB with serious injury concerns.

Agreed. I can’t imagine the fallout on this board if the Panthers went from one injured, starting franchise QB in Cam to another injured, starting franchise QB in Tagovailoa. And trading valuable draft capital to do it? Yikes.

We are entering a potential no man's land phase with this franchise if Cam is gone too on top of Luke retiring. We are simply not in a position to be overly picky here. The meathead types need to ditch the eye roll inducing college football rivalry takes about prospects because they played for a team you don't like. I don't give a fug about that, I want to win.

They'd get over it by the the first preseason game.

Yep this isn't tigernet or whatever college fan page people frequent.  Hopefully people cool off and quit with the 'Joe hurt my feelings' takes.

Burrow is an A-hole and an arrogant prick.  He will be toxic in the locker room and become one of the most unpopular players ever signed by the Panthers.....  I don't think it (i.e. us going all-in  to get him in the draft) will happen, but if it does I do not think I will enjoy watching Panthers games anymore.  With 89,TD, Luke, Greg, Cam etc we had a team with a lot of good/interesting personality.....

Based on nothing

The difference is Tua is what, 21? And he doesn't have a decade's worth of hits on him. Personally, I don't think I'd trade a ton for Tua, but if you could get up to No. 5 and not sell the farm, it's worth considering. The problem with that is you lose trade value in Cam because teams would just wait out the last year of his contract (assuming you don't cut him).

Another difference is that Cam was very durable and reliable for all of college and then for years and years as a pro.  Tua is already constantly hurt.

I suppose that's fair. Tua had the ankle issue in 2018 and this year he had a freak injury that we've only seen what, once in the last 35 years? I don't want to put the injury prone label on him yet, but that's a concern that would make me leery to trade much for him. He very well could be the next Sam Bradford.

Apparently both if his ankles are now stronger than they were originally.  They did a "shoe lace" procedure on both his ankles that tie everything up nice and tight.  Now, his hip is a totally different ball game.  Thats a major, major injury.  Who knows if he will ever fully recover from that one.  Im thinking yes, but you never know.

Reread your post and think about your logic. We also don't have the 1st pick this year, do we?

we aren't just talking about joe burrow

Trevot Lawrence isn't going to be the next QB of the Carolina Panthers. Accept that and you can have an honest discussion about what the Panthers should do.

I should’ve been clearer. I’m saying if the Panthers grab Tua and he gets hurt in, say, game 4 of his rookie year, this place will be apoplectic.
