Should the Panthers go all in on Joe Burrow?

I would not be surprised that if Tua is there at 7 they pull the trigger and take a chance on him.  I also think that even if they do draft one this year the odds are they do again next year as well.

Let’s get all the QBs. Tua and Cam sit behind Allen and continue to heal while we tank for Trevor...

To be fair, what we should do is get a real GM, then maybe we wouldn't be in this situation.

Tepper’s working on that Marty’s an excellent scout but overall GM duties may be split between him and the new guy we hire

In don't think Luke's decision will have any influence on Cam whatsoever. At least not on Cam's side. If we move on it will likely be the organization's decision. It just isn't the way Cam is wired IMO

So here’s why I’m thinking Luke’s decsion has that impact:

It means there is now zero chance we’re reloading instead of rebuilding. The loss of the greatest MLB of his generation from a defense that was already in bad shape is not something you fix quick.

One of Cam’s stated career goals is winning a super Bowl. Luke’s retirement means that’s off the table in Carolina for 3 years absolute minimum. If you were Cam, would you be willing to stick with a team through a rebuild knowing you had no shot at that goal til your mid 30’s?

I know you are being sarcastic but don't be surprised if you don't see them throw sh't at the proverbial wall at the QB position next year at very least.  Nothing would surprise me at this point.

I guess I don’t think it’s just a him thing, I’m not sure Rhule hires an up and coming hotshot OC without wanting to get him a young QB to mold while he’s still around, especially if this is a he offense he wants to continue running into the future.

That’s what makes me think this is a possibility. You don’t sign a guy like Brady and let him work with Kyle Allen. You give him a top flight QB and let him do his thing. Right now I think that QB will be either Cam, Burrow or Tua.

Speaking of Tua....is there ANY chance at all of him being ready to go to start the season? Or, is he looking at a longer recovery?

Tua is claiming he'll be healthy by April and will hold a workout.

What? We had probably the worst D in the league at the end of the season WITH Luke. I love the guy but it’s not like he’s been leading the number 1 D in the league lately or anything.

Okay, not sure what your point relative to mine is...

Are you suggesting that because the d line was awful that it doesn’t matter that we just lost Luke?
