Signing shaq makes sense now

Seriously, at the time everyone was confused as hell but I think it was known this was happening.  It also makes sense why david tepper had a long talk with luke after the last game of the season.  Stuff that seemed wierd and off makes a lot more sense now.  This thread is to discuss that aspect of Luke's retirement and the future of shaw at middle linebacker.

I’m fine with Re signing Shaq but his contract is bloated as hell. Classic Hurney.

Some of us said this a month ago. But I figured Luke would finish out his contract. Don’t blame him a bit but the writing was on the wall when we signed shaq midseason after rr was fired.

Yea, a bunch were saying that Shaq's contract meant Kuechly wasn't going to be here. Now we know that was true and why shaq got paid so early.

Yeah. You don’t tie up 100 mil in linebackers. You cant win that way. I figured we’d try to trade Luke this offseason or he would retire within the next two years.

I think the guys are probably happy Shaq is coming back given all the changes coming. Maybe the only guy left from the Super Bowl team if Cam and Tre Boston don’t return
