This was my assumption. I respect it either way but damn it sucks. All this behind the scenes stuff now makes sense. I kinda feel like Cam is gone too because the cap hit from Luke really breaks everything down. DAMN!

And we have no idea what goes on in his normal day to day life away from the game. 
 

Every tackle I held my breath hoping he would get up OK. Long term I’m just happy for him. This sucks and I’m sure is gut wrenching for him but seems like the right call.

Im suspicious of this sudden retirement from Luke. It will be interesting to see how this story evolves and if any rumors start to leak out about him. Luckily, we still have a long time before next season and maybe he will change his mind and want to keep playing - hopefully with the panthers.
