I'm not sure what you're trying to imply but he was wasted in my personal opinion. Personal accolades aside, we have wasted an immense amount of talent on this team. Think of the generational talents that we've drafted and what we've managed to do with them, from a team perspective. I could give two shits about how many All-Pro's any single member of our team has. The goal of an NFL team isn't about getting individual players an award. Luke will go down as possibly THE best MLB in NFL history. Awesome. It's still a waste from a team perspective.

That is incredible hyperbole. Luke is one of the best middle linebackers that ever played and he was the heart and soul of our defense that for many years was top 10 in the league. And everyone knew it. How it that wasted? Because he didn't win a Superbowl? He is far from the only great player who didn't win one. It isn't like he sat in the bench and didn't play. That would be wasted. I don't know what the whole wasted talent complaint is about at all. He is revered in Carolina and was one of the faces of the franchise.

Players die twice, the first time is when they retire. You can see just how painful this is for Luke and it doesn’t get easier for a while. Personally, I’m still waiting for the itch to compete to go away almost 6 years after using up my college eligibility in wrestling.

if jamos hadn't had to go running his mouth, the team may have not pushed this out for a little while and Luke may have even changed his mind

AT THE VERY LEAST we could've just enjoyed the Brady news for a little bit

screw that guy, man.

I think you're being obtuse. I'm not saying that Luke was a wasted talent. Just that we, as a team, have wasted talent - A LOT of talent. I'm not sure why that's so hard. Yes, Luke is far from the only great player to not win a Super Bowl, that doesn't change my point. My statement wasn't isolated to Luke either - cumulatively, we have wasted a load of talent. We haven't achieved anything respective to our talent level, ever. The whole wasted talent comment is directly related to being colossal underachievers with regards to the generational talents we've had on the field together. I'm not exactly sure why that's confusing to you.
