Honestly, from what I've been reading, it seems like Gettleman has been doing the biddings of the Maras. Seems like they've been meddling much in the same way that JR was doing down here.

Don't know, but either way, GMs don't hire assistant coaches. Head coaches do. I mean, do people think Marty is picking Matt Rhule's staff?

This might be a courtesy interview for an existing assistant (same as we could do for Fewell) but regardless, that decision belongs to Joe Judge.

Yea, been seeing a lot of stuff thrown around on this board about DG, but honestly, everything that he is doing up there looks and smells like the Mara's doing.  A lot of what he is being roasted for is likely coming from the top.

Also, GM's don't hire assistants.

Given how close of a relationship those two have this should come as no surprise. Gettleman thinks Shula has one of the best offensive minds in this league.
