STFU dude. I was rooting for LSU because I hate Clemson but dude won a national championship as a true freshman, led a huge comeback in the semifinals this year and just lost his first game as a college player.

He's a system guy.  Very good player, but I do not see him doing 'Clemson things' in the NFL.

After watching tonights game, I've come to the conclusion that Burrow is lightyears ahead of Lawrence. Burrow's throws tonight are NFL quality passes with great accuracy, he makes plays for his receivers. Lawrence is a great athlete who plays the QB position, he succeeds because he gets the ball quick to his RB and WRs and allows them to make plays, when asked to play from behind he struggles to make NFL quality throws as evidenced by his overthrows and inaccurate passes. Lawrence still has plenty of time to improve and seems to have the talent, but I don't see where a lot of people are calling him the next greatest QB prospect since Luck, Manning, Elway, etc.

You do realize that LSU had everybody covered all night, right?  Burrow took advantage of 1 on 1 match-ups where his WRs were much more physical than Clemson.  You give Lawrence those same 1 on 1 match-ups and you think he wouldn't succeed?

Fact is LSU had Clemson in almost every match-up.  You can't win behind your power back when LSU has guys scorching fast all over the field.

This is what everyone says when they just irrationally don't like a player and can't actually knock his skill set.

Hate to break it to you, but every QB is a "system" QB. Cam was the most dominant NFL QB I think I've ever seen in 2015 but even he got stopped by a great defense when the guy running the system got exposed by a far superior DC

I never said I didn't like him.  I think he's over-hyped...that's my whole angle. It's not a love/hate type of scenario.  My beef is with the folks here that want to take a fat sh!t on the 2020 season so we can draft him.

I think 1 on 1 matchups are the perfect opportunities for a QB to showcase his skills, for sure LSU had that match up all night but it was still up to Burrow to put it in the right spot for his WR. Besides the matchup, just look at the placement, timing, and touch of the throw by the QB not just the matchup. And if it really is just a mismatch then that falls on Clemson staff not to scheme their playmakers open.

Superior or allowed to target?

Either way Sunshine showed tonight he can be rattled. Still it's not like Clemson won't be back next year. They just happened to run into the SEC.

What happened when they ran into the SEC last year? No other team in that conference was winning the championship this year. Clemson and OSU both beat all the also rans in the SEC this year.
