Did we win the Head Coaching hire battle? Sure seems like it.

Mike McCarthy- Mr free massages for everyone whose Green Bay team actually got significantly better after he left Green Bay.

Joe Judge-.special teams coordinator with zero offensive/defensive experience nor HC experience.

Stefanski- One of the better hires but let’s be real, it’s Cleveland, if he doesnt win a Lombardi in a year or two he will just be joining the loooong line of Ex Browns head coaches anyway.

Rivera- Ahh last but certainly not least. Mr “couldn’t beat a freaking Gary Kubiak team with a geriatric Peyton Manning with a bad neck” Rivera in a season with Cam playing MVP GOAT status and Kuechly in his prime. Good luck with Dwayne Haskins bwahaha.

Rhule- Leader of men, literally took not one but two college teams that were a joke and abysmal and turned each of them into world beaters in a couple short years. Has received praise from many respected heads around the league, from Tom Coughlin and even Sean Payton singing his praises.

Obviously I realize only time will tell, hell, for all I know, Joe Judge will be the next Bellicheck and Rhule will be the next Seifert. But on paper so far, it seems we definitely landed the best prospect this year.

That just isn't true.

Baylor had 7 straight winning seasons before Rhule arrived.  Including 4 10+ win seasons during that streak.

Rhule came in and didn't let the scandal completely derail what Baylor had become.  He gets credit for that.

They still lost good players to transfers because of the scandal and lost tons of scholarships with 3 and 4 star recruits decommitting or whatever. He had to work with a 1-11 team with minimal talent and work them back up.

If Matt Rhule turns out to be as good as George Seifert, that will be A-OK with me.

114-62 (.648) Regular season

10-5 (.667) Playoffs

5X Super Bowl Champion coach.

Mike McCarthy,... “significantly better” remains to be seen. The Packers has 14-2 And 15-1 seasons under mike, plenty of back to back and playoff runs. Remember Rodgers was fresh back off injury last year and the 2 seasons prior was a nightmare. 2016 they were in the NFC Championship.

next week when the 49ers annihilate them will you say “significantly improved”?

I personally will have to wait just like everyone here for the next “5 seasons” to see what this looks like.

Will we be the Browns, Houston, Kansas City or the Patriots?

or just the same as the Panthers have been for 25 years,...

You realize most of those Super Bowls came when he was the DC for Bill Walsh right?  The 3 years he was a coach here he was 16 wins and 32 losses.

And two likely future Hall of Famer's as edge rushers with perennially underrated Danny Travethon in the middle. Aqib Talib on the outside and Harris on the otherside.

That defense wrecked everyone they played in the playoffs.

    • Well unfortunately nothing to us. But he has been giving to the rest of the league. He's been so bad he was getting opposing defenders all kinds of accolades and salary increases. Now though he's taking back. You can't lose to a Bryce Young led offense and not expect swift ramifications ya know?
    • Full disclosure I responded to this before fully reading the whole post. As if I had, I’d have laughed at you saying you haven’t seen a full route tree from him, as that’s EXACTLY what he has in his bag.  That right there just shows you haven’t watched him at all outside of the downfield highlight reel plays.  He already runs a full NFL level route tree, at all 3 levels.  As I’ve said numerous times before, XL is the big bodied possession guy, while T-Mac would be the true outside #1 who can do it all and a perfect compliment to XL.   Want to draft someone else all you want, that’s totally fair.  But don’t try and say he’s just a big bodied WR who lacks quickness and can’t run a full route tree, as it’s just the furthest thing from the truth.     And it’s okay, after you watch some more clips, you can admit that you were wrong and I’m not showing my own bias towards him.  It’s not like I’m advocating for someone who should be a late 1st rounder or even a mid 1st round pick, this is someone who’s been mocked as high as #2 by a lot of experts lately. The kid is a stud and he has every tool in his bag that you’d want an outside #1 to have.
    • My perfect offseason at QB would be trade Bryce, sign Lock (experience with Canales) and draft Ewers in the second or late in the first
