Ya aikido is far from a fake martial art. It’s a self defense art/discipline/centering form that like tai chi can be turned deadly with a few minor tweaks they don’t teach you.

A lot of the Patriots success comes from Belichick being really smart about the assistants that he hires. Patriot assistants are regularly credited for being among the best in the league.

(they don't often translate to being great head coaches, but hey...)

Rivera never really built much more than a "half and half" roster of coaches. I'm hoping Rhule does better, especially so since we know he doesn't believe in firing them.

its 100% fake.   check out some high ranking aikido masters vs real fighters who aren't even good enough to turn pro.    it is exercise and discipline.  i wasted a few yrs of my life on it.   its completely fake, though it is beautiful

No, it’s not it’s simply the soft form of jujitsu with weapons added and spiritual importance. 

“Real fighters”(aka fake martial artist) prefer pure brutality and strength compared to technique and when you watch it in the ring they lose any shred of technique and just turn into animals. If you were looking to be a “real fighter” than obviously you missed the point of aikido entirely. 

It’s 100% a real “Martial Art”.

uh, no that's ridiculous.   real fighters use technique constantly and don't lose their temper.  i can tell you don't follow mma.    they just use techniques that are applicable in the real world, unlike aikido.

It is great to see Matt Rhule seek advice  from a wise old hand like Tom Coughlin for some much needed guidance but i feel in the long run that Rhule will take that advice, apply common sense and come to his own conclusions.
