One of my favorites. He has a lot of versatility. 43 end, 34 end, 43 UT in pass rush situations. He has the production, has the length, if he tests well he could very well be in play at 7.

His versatility and motor are the things I think will stand our to Rhule.

Of course getting Derrick Brown would be incredible, but if Brown and Thomas are gone....

Anyone else not feeling the Brown hype? I've only watched a few games, but compare his tape vs Bama to Kinlaw's this past season, and it looks like they're projected draft positions should he flipped IMO.  (Yes, I know they're different styles, but give me the better penetrator in round one, and find a run stuffer later)

As for Epenesa, I'd be happy with the pick. He could be the power to Burn's speed.

Agree that if Brown, Thomas and Okudah are gone, he would make a ton of sense. I think he will move up after his proday/combine....Epenesa is a beast and would not be a bad selection if we move back  a few slots.

I still like Wirfs and Wills for OT and think we can get someone like Shaq Lawson in FA to put at DE opposite Burns.

Personally, an LT is about all I would spend a top 10 pick on.  Wirfs and Wills are both RT's I think.  Wirfs might transition well to the left side, but I wonder why they never used him that way in college.  Both are very good, but not protecting the QB blindside makes them slide a bit for me.

just ran a quick mock simulator using Matt Millers big board.  With that trade, we could get S Delpit, C Biadasz, and DL Raekwon Davis.  Not a bad start to fixing this team.

And if we also bring in a big time G like Joe Thuney from NE or Brandon Scherff from the Redskins, we could be a lot better than anyone expects this year...especially if Cam can get back to anywhere close to his normal self.   Add in a stud DT like DJ Reader from Houston, and this team would be right back in the thick of things.

When has Marty Hurney ever traded back? He only trades up

I don't think Marty will be the one making those decisions.

This is Rhule's team now, and if he wants to trade back for more assets, then that's what we will try to do.  Marty will have input, but it's clear that Tepper has given the keys to the team to Rhule, and is willing to provide him any resource he wants to build the team.

Iowa has a very good LT, who is only a LT, so, in order to get their best linemen on the field, they put Wirfs at RT.  But from what I understand, when he did have to fill in at LT due to injury, he was dominant.  So, I think Wirfs would be able to play either side.  He would also give us quite a bit of flexibility.

I could listen to this.  Wirfs is a day one starter at RT for any team, so we move Moton?  Or try Wirfs at LT?   Moton in his contract year to LT?  LG?

If Moton doesn't work at LT some team will pay him handsomely to be their RT in 2021.

I think it gives us flexibility.  While we would all love to feel comfortable with Little at LT (I think Daley is just a solid backup), we don't know.  His entire season was negatively impacted by injuries, so we still don't know what we have in him.  And since Wirfs can play either side, we should be able to have some stability at OT regardless.  Also, Moton is in the last year of his contract, and while I think he's good, I don't think he's elite.  So, bringing in Wirfs protects us from Little not realizing his potential as well as the cap savings if we save by not paying out a big contract to Moton.

And if Little does develop and Wirfs is the monster he looks like, then we could possibly slide Moton in at RG if they want to move on from Turner's contract (especially if he doesn't have a strong rebound this year).  Now, there is some projection here, but I really do think Moton would thrive at Guard.  So, re-signing him to play inside wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, IMO.  And quite honestly, I think Little could play inside as well.

So, the bottom line is that a guy like Wirfs gives us a lot of flexibility on the line...both roster wise, as well as cap wise.
