I don't have a dog in the fight in the local rivalries but I like what I've seen of him.

I want to see him get better in the redzone next year. That's the only real knock I had on him this season. He wasn't nearly as good in the redzone when the field shrank.

But his deep ball accuracy? Even when throwing into perfect double coverage? Good grief. I think the kid could drop balls in a five gallon bucket from 60 yards out.

Won't happen. The refs will alter the game if need be. The conferences will desperately protect their CFP contenders because there are huge financial implications there. Remember the "offsides" penalty on the onside kick the last time there was a UNC/Clemson ACC CG game? Yeah...

yeah it was total fuging horse poo.

Calm down Clemson fan. I'm not knocking Lawrence. I think he's a fantastic prospect. But yeah, if I'm choosing between the two right now today, I'm taking Joe Burrow.

I don't care about his student status at LSU or anywhere else. I don't care that he's 23 years old (the same age as Allen, not two years older) when elite QBs are playing into their late 30s and early 40s in today's NFL. I don't care about betting lines. I don't care about where he ranked as a college prospect compared to anyone else - Kyle Allen was the #1 QB recruit in the country and both he and Will Grier (#4) were rated above Deshaun Watson (#7).

I care about his unreal ability to throw a football and make the proper reads in an offense that should translate to the NFL.

Burrow and TL are both good prospects but I agree.  Burrow for me right now.  He has upside to get better too.  Irrelevant for us as we ain't getting him anyway.

I don’t want Lawrence, as I’d rather keep Cam and give him a year to see if he’s completely healthy. If it bombs, then maybe you have a chance at Fields next year or you suck that year, and get Howell in the next draft.

Lawrence won't be available until next year anyway. He's a true sophomore.

College football is more rigged than NFL. If a team that's not been chosen gets ahead not only do they throw bs flags they use the targeting rules to remove players. Is BS.

The hiring and paying of refs really needs to shift from the conferences to the NCAA. Let the conferences contribute funds into an overall pool for the hiring and paying of refs.

Letting the conferences handle that leaves way too much leeway for potentially influencing games for the financial and prestige benefit of the conference. Getting left out of the CFP is a big deal and if you have a conference championship game featuring a CFP contender vs. a non-contender, you're going to see that contender get some heavy flag assists.
