Looks like Rhule may target Joe Brady for OC

That'd take a lot of draft capital.

Do you wanna give up that much if you've got a lot of holes?

I don't think Carolina will trade up to #1, but if Joe Burrow is who people think he is, there really isn't a price too high to go get him from #7. and with all the talk of Rhule being a builder, having a long term contract, and so on, the time would be right to make a move like that. so far Rhule is kinda playing dumb a little bit talking about Cam/QBs, but I don't have any doubt whatsoever that QB options were discussed at Rhule's house the other night, and they have a general idea of how they're going to go.

I wasn't gonna go there.

Oh, don't get me wrong, it would be a category 5 poo storm.

But to me, if you're Tepper and the Panthers, this would be the ideal way you could soften the blow of parting ways with Cam. You do it as part of the effort to acquire the next franchise QB.

Move on from Cam and field straight trash as QB again next year... oh wee mayne. Especially if Cam stays healthy and shines elsewhere. That would be the nightmare situation for the Panthers.

What if it was say, #7 plus Cam and next year's 1st?

I expect next years first without a healthy Cam to be top 5-10... Would you do that? I wouldn’t like the idea of trading up anything to get Burrow. If he fell to 7 fine but I’m not a big fan of him as a prospect.

What if they already have a deal in place with Cincy to move to one, and we already have agreed to get Brady from LSU? That would make a lot of the things coming from Rhule and Marty make a lot more sense

Previous reports had it being Sean Ryan. If this has legs, I wonder if Ryan gets the QB coach job. He's never been a coordinator before.

Of course, Brady's only been coaching since 2013, so...

Lions could block that I believe since it’s a lateral move...
