There certainly is a lot of smoke to this particular rumor today.  I am very interested to see how this plays out.  I think we really have a good shot at landing this guy.  Would be amazing.

Feels more probable to me than not looking at all the signs.  But it could be we just want to give him an interview before finalizing Ryan.

Joe Brady also is overhyped right now too.

He basically just took a great NFL blueprint to a roster loaded w/ talent (paired w/ an older QB).....and they are simply running that on an old "SEC" conference of kids.   And the SEC doesn't have experience defending such.

That's my worry.

Plenty of NFL teams have hired the "hot name" just to have them flame out.

hell, I mean Ron Rivera probably watches teams struggle vs LSU and goes....wow, that is stupid.  Why would you ever think about doing that on defense.  And he would be right.

SEC just doesn't know what to do year 1 vs that new scheme (especially when paired w/ Burrow).   It isn't the same type game changer in a NFL that has watched it year in and year out....run by better folks for a decade.

I agree with thinking Brady is overhyped and that does concern me a bit, but I think you gotta credit a lot of Burrows development to him he's a totally different player this year.  No one walked into this season and thought Burrow was anymore than a late round pick that could manage the game for LSU.

I think the whole thing with Brady is that hes really smart and is another one of those "offensive genius" type guys.  Obviously he wont just be bringing the Saints offense here, thinking that will set the league on fire.  I think the hope would be that he would bring his own version of that scheme, tailored to what it is Coach Rhule wants to do here, and to the personnel that we have.

That NO offense is the reason why I support this hire. We have some nice pieces in place to run that scheme. But he’s still a rookie OC entering the NFL. Which is why I don’t want Phil Snow as DC. I don’t like the idea of two super green coordinators calling plays for us. It could get real ugly real quick.

I think it's gonna be ugly no matter what these next couple years.  It will take time for Rhule to build the team he wants.  Maybe having two green coordinators grow into their role as this team *HOPEFULLY* grows into a CONSISTENT contender will be good for us.

We need some nfl coaching experience.

Norv Turner has has 45840594 years of coaching experience and we still suck.   So....

At this point we just need someone who knows how to score points..

It works well in college but his concepts are still fairly elementary when it comes to the NFL level. You see college systems that are more advanced, for that level, work well when you have talented wide receivers and a cerebral quarterback. In the NFL, everyone is running these concepts except the Ravens who probably don't even have a playbook anymore.

Joe Brady is the definition of super green.
