Looks like Rhule may target Joe Brady for OC

I don't know much about Brady as I don't follow college football all that much especially being overseas.

Young, talented, and a good offensive mind.  Kind of hard not to get excited.  Let's remember Chip Kelly and Sean McVay. Their high powered offenses we quick figured out and exploited by NFL coordinators.

The hiring of both OC and DC coordinators from the college ranks is dangerous.

I like Rhule and his goals but we are going to have some serious growing pains with these three guys.

I'm excited but extremely leery.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if tepper not only made Joe brady the highest paid offensive coordinator in the league, but also one of the highest paid coaches, right behind rhule.

That way if any team wanted to pry him from teppers golden hands for a head coaching gig, they'd literally have to break the bank, essentially guaranteeing that Brady will be our offensive coordinator for as long as rhule is in charge!

Make it happen tep!

Alright, so lets say we have a college head coach, college DC, and college OC. Is it too much to ask for to hire a former NFL HC as an assistant HC?

I don’t think so at all. Rhule mention in the presser or after during Q&A time that everywhere he goes, he’s hires a coach on his staff that he can lean on and who can mentor him. I’d have to assume that’d be an NFL guy.

Joe Brady has more time in the NFL as a coach than he does as a college OC.

He has no time as an offensive coordinator anywhere.

1 year as a college Passing Game Coordinator....not Offensive Coordinator. The OC is Ensminger

2 years as an offensive assistant for the Saints.

2 years as a college linebackers coach

2 years as graduate assistant at Penn State

There’s a point after already making so many millions that extra money has a hard time outweighing the chance to do your own thing and run a team the way you want. If we hire Joe Brady here and his successful enough to garner interest as a HC, it’s doubtful money alone would keep him. Money has disminishing returns just like everything else.
