His over all W/L record in college, in a vacuum, only matter to people that don't know what they are talking about.

So anyone I hear talking about his over all W/L record, as if its important or matters, I can only assume don't know what they are talking about and I am completely fine tuning them out.

Comparing his W/L record from college, and pretending like it matters because in the NFL losses matter..makes no sense.

You do you pal I literally couldnt give two shits if you read my posts or not. Lmao.

Can we stop with all the negativity and not judge the product before it's even been produced. This is the most excited I have been as a Panthers fan in a long time. I'm not gonna worry about stuff that is out of my control.

All of it is out of your control...

We're rid of Ron and most of his stooges, and I just can't imagine this team been as bad as it was the last two years. Even if it is, at least Tepper took a damn risk and got some unknowns. Neither you, nor anyone else can predict how they'll perform by just looking at their resume.

I've been in companies that hired people that looked amazing on paper, and they absolutely sucked, and vice versa. Also, there are plenty of monster talents in every field that go nowhere in life for a whole plethora of reasons.

This is an exciting time, and we as fans that have had to put up with Ron's garbage will get to see the Panthers go up against the Ronskins. Whoever Rhule gets on the coaching staff, I'll be rooting for them to embarrass the Ronskins.

I wish I could have the blind faith that many of you people have but if we're talking logically here how much NFL experience do these two coaches have between them? Not very much at all is it? And they hold two of the most important coaching positions on a coaching staff. Is it a guarantee they fail? No of course not but it gives us every reason to be skeptical because history has shown us the NFL isn't to kind to the inexperienced. So yes there will be some of us that don't share the blind faith like many of you "real" fans have and hey if it helps you people to sleep better at night telling yourselves its okay for Rhule and his college organization to blow things up and suck for the foreseeable future, fine by me. I just don't see the enjoyment in that.

How much coaching experience did Ron Rivera and Norv Turner have?    NFL isn't even kind to the experienced.  No one is saying have blind faith.  But you at least have to wait and see before you poo poo the entire coaching staff right?

No you are right they definitely do deserve an opportunity and that's exactly what they are going to have. I just hate the mentality of "it's okay to suck for 2-3 years for the good of the team!" I don't think I could ever embrace losing. Not when we have a quarterback like Cam Newton and a Rb like CMC on the roster at this very moment. I don't support the decision to move on from Cam and that decision is really  going to dictate the trajectory of this team for the foreseeable future. Success isn't guaranteed in the NFL. Just because Rhule comes in and blows things up doesn't guarantee he'll have those winning seasons 3 years from now. A lot of crap is going to happen. Hes better off trying to win now with Cam Newton.

Who has the mentality that its ok to suck for 2-3 years for the good of the team?

Who is saying that hiring Rhule and his DC will make the team suck for 2-3 years?

Since this team has not put together back-to-back winning seasons in 26 years, we have sucked for that long.  2 Super Bowl appearances is above average.  15-1 is incredible.  But sucking is who we are---we cannot handle prosperity because we seem determined to return to sucking.  Sucking has been the norm and success has been the exception.  They are going to build a team that sustains success.  So what happens over the next 2 years is not the focus.

Marty needs to stop drafting positions and start drafting players.  Athletes that have the best chance of materializing.  I like Burns, but you cannot tell me that Rivera's switch to the 3-4 did not change the draft.  And Marty will tell you, "You take the BPA...." BS, Marty.

The secret to success in the later rounds of the draft is drafting players that do not need to play immediately.  In 2020, draft players you will need in 2022.  Give them 2 years to develop while serving as depth.  Marty, you know what your needs are going to be in 2 years; start acting like it.

I like nepotism, but only when the flavors don't touch...well chocolate and vanilla can touch but not chocolate and strawberry

It is kinda like those popcorn tins that have caramel and white cheddar right beside each other.  That is great, but if you get caramel in the cheddar and grab that bite, well, your buds are going for a wild ride, I can tell you.
