Predict Panthers Record from 2020 through 2025

Hard to say about Cam--it does not look great (for 2021) at this point.  But this is your prediction and not mine.  I think if we keep Cam, the rebuild in 2023 is a good prediction--and I don't think Tepper wants to rebuild more than once with Rhule.   This is almost an argument against keeping Cam--not your intent--but when you compare this to what Tepper said about building a program, it does not include rebuilding in 3 years.

As I shared in a post on another thread--Tepper was 12 when Noll took over as coach in Pittsburgh.  He had 3 seasons with 1, 5, and 6 wins respectively.  When Tepper was 14 or 15, the dynasty began that led to 10 straight winning seasons, 7 10+ win seasons, and 4 rings.  That is what Tepper wants to see.

If keeping Cam thwarts that process, then he cuts him loose now.  Keeping Cam is a "win now" move, and comments do not suggest that is the plan.

Remember, the Steelers of the 70s built that team through the draft and developing talent.  They were not big players in free agency. Now more than ever, I believe the need to dabble in free agency is the biggest threat to team success--you overpay for players other teams developed.  Most of the time, they are not fits for your system and underperform.  Instead, the Steelers developed a solid work ethic, chemistry, and it clicked.

Chuck Knoll was the best draft picker in the history of the NFL............look it up.

He was also a true renaissance man........skilled and intelligent in many fields of endeavor..........a good friend of mine owns corporate jets and taught him how to fly private jets..........said that Chuck was the smartest man he ever taught how to fly.

Judge was full of meaningless talk.  WTF are you talking about?

Of course all the initial press conference with new hire HC are...........but the demeanor, presentation and specifics of how the new hire can project that reveals potential which can raise or lower one's confidence of that hire.............Judge made it clear what and how he is going to approach things........I got the impression the Rhule was more of a "rah rah lets go to work" without as much substance to his presentation.

LOL - if you look at the reporting of two press conferences,  people were much more impressed with what Rhule had to say than Judge.

Lots of talk about all the changes and rebuilding here of the Panthers organization.......so its right at the beginning but from what you've been able to assess at this point what do you think the Panthers will do over the next 5 years with their regular season record?

Based on what I see so far........this is what I think......

2020   4-12

2021   3-13

2022    7-9

2023    5-11

2024    8-8

2025    9-7

No division wins.....missed playoffs with 9-7 record in 2025.........more excuses of a rebuilding process..........we will become the Browns of the south.

I was not impressed with the Rhule press conference ....lots of non descript enthusiasm almost like forming a good ole boys club with Marty leading the way......

Did you see the press conference with NY Giant's hire of Joe Judge as the new HC?

What them both and compare.........

2020   10-6 (Divisional Rd Loss)

2021   10-6 (SB Loss)

2022   11-5 (SB Win)

2023   10-6 (SB Win)

2024   9-7

2025   11-5 (Cam hangs em up)(NFCCG Loss)

2026   8-8 (New Qb)

2027  10-6

2028  16-0 (SB)

Mark it ! Positivity Baby

Fair enough but I would never form my opinion on the consensus of sports reporters on anything................perhaps instead lets watch what the results bring over the next years for each organization and see if that measures the tale of the tape better.

2020: 11-5 (Wild Card, lose in Wild Card game)
2021: 7-9
2022: 12-4 (NFC South winners, lose NFCCG)
2023: 8-8
2024: 13-3 (NFC South winners, SB winners)
2025: 7-8-1
2026: 10-6 (Wild Card, lose in Divisional Round)

Nah bro that even, odd year stops with Rhule, .500 or better every season! Cam gets at least 2 SBs and is in another...period.

2020 - 3-13 lose to the Giants in the sunshine sweepstakes

2021 - 5-11 Cam and Luke retire, Hurney still can't draft, work free agency, manage the cap etc but Tepper keeps him on anyhow

2022- 6-10 Tepper, after realizing that nobody is showing up to the games anymore, finally fires Marty Hurney and Rhule. Rhule goes back to college on a middling SEC team like Arkansas or Ole Miss. Hurney goes back to radio, and starts work to creep back into the Panthers front office yet again

2023 - 5-11 complete reset is a-go in Carolina

cant predict what happens after that

This is a pretty good prediction I must say and given hurney is the architect of the team you see before you there is a really good chance that this is how it goes.

I will say that I would not Rhule out the possibility that someone is added to the mix in the organization that counters Hurney.  Someone that negates the inevitable Hurney brain farts after the first round that gets this team much better needed depth.   Depth that gets them over the hump to back to back winning season in the next 3 to 4 season.

But under your example they are trending upward at least.
