This is why we can’t have nice things.

Yeah, look. A lot of folks are taking victory laps when they get things right. That ain’t journalism. But neither is getting stuff wrong. I’ve worked for three different papers since 2003. This is my independent project. I don’t have an intern or desk team. I have three wild kids running around, now with the added bonus of a puppy LOL. The idea here was to retract the reporting. And, most importantly, offer an apology to the subject matter and our readers.

And to you guys, sorry about that. Probably won’t happen again.

I have a lot of very good people to think for that. Again, I’ll make an occasional mistake, but I’m also going to let my people know that it falls on me. And I don’t really have a problem with Newton, I don’t know the guy at all so I’m assuming he’s a decent enough guy. So, there’s that. Sorry for the diversion

I just now read what happened, at least what this thread says. But your response to this says more than breaking 100 stories ever would. Accountability is what makes us who we  are. And you defined yourself forever in my book. Bravo and keep doing what you have been. I might even sign up for Twitter now...lol. You did that!!!

you're a stand-up guy, I like the cut of your jib.

I gotta be honest @ellis your jib could use some work, IMO. I'd look into jib reconstructive surgery. It's much more affordable these days, it's basically an outpatient procedure and the recovery time is much shorter.

Meh, Russell Wilson's greatness obscures how poorly they've done in free agency and the draft since 2013.

A lot of the executives who were responsible for drafting all their great talent during their Super Bowl run are long gone now (such as Scot McCloughan).

They don't have a good roster outside of QB1, and haven't in years.

Eric Metcalf?

Hurney setting all this up just screams disaster. Can't say I'm not super worried.

I'm right there with you.  But I've decided that I need a reason to get excited about this team so I'm going to pull for the underdogs in all this mess and that is Rhule and his coaches.  I'm lucky he is someone worth pulling for.  Hurney can GTFO.
